@WalshFreedom Two male ICE officers held the preteen daughter at a local hotel taking shifts watching her in a hotel room. No indication of other inappropriate behavior. But, she did endure the trauma of being watched by two strange men and being separated from a parent.

@WalshFreedom Had a client with parole in place until 2028 told yesterday that if he did not sign to deport him and his daughter that ICE would separate them. He did. ICE separated them anyway. Lots of lawyering last night and today and he is being released along with his daughter. ICE lies.

This is called hunting for collaterals. ICE agents may have a warrant for a foreign national but their target is not on the job or not at home so ICE starts pulling over people of color in the vicinity. These stop are generally found to be legal in Immigration Court.

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents were caught on video telling a U.S. born citizen that his driver’s license was not proof of citizenship because “anyone can get that.”

In the video, the man repeatedly told them he was born in the U.S…. In Atlantic City.

He showed them his license.

They dismissed it.

He showed them ANOTHER form of ID.

They STILL kept interrogating him about where he lived, who he lived with, whether Venezuelans lived in his home, who had been in his car, and whether the vehicle was registered to him.

All while illegally detaining him in his car.

And in the end…

The agents admitted they weren’t even looking for the person connected to the car’s registration.

So, why was this U.S. citizen stopped, surrounded, and interrogated in the first place?

The Fourth Amendment does not disappear because agents “suspect” someone might be undocumented.

You do not have to repeatedly prove your citizenship to federal agents because they decided you “look foreign enough” to question.

Yet, this keeps happening to U.S. citizens across the country.

@ThunderFilmRoom How did you feel about the second rotation that came in when Wemby first went out? That rotation seemed to click and move the ball without SGA. Otherwise, SGA seemed so slow bringing up the ball, due to being guarded so heavily, that his -15 seemed inevitable.
