WHO WILL ANSWER FOR ONYEAKA OZIOMA ELIZABETH?

On 15 June 2026, Onyeaka Ozioma Elizabeth was seen within the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

She told the person who recorded this video that officers of the SSS arrested her at 3-3, Onitsha, Anambra State, more than five years and three months ago. She was then taken far away and detained at the Wawa Military Detention Centre in Kainji, Niger State, without access to her family or a lawyer.

When the person who made the video contacted the sister whose telephone number Ozioma had provided, her sister could not believe that Ozioma was still alive.

Think about that.
For more than five years, a family did not know whether their daughter and sister was alive or dead. Ozioma was removed from everything and everyone she knew, transported from Anambra State to Kainji in Niger State, and later brought to Abuja to face trial.

Look at her face. See the fear. See what prolonged isolation, uncertainty and dehumanising detention can do to a human being.
What manner of trial or justice can emerge from detention of this nature? How does a person adequately defend herself after allegedly being denied access to her family and legal representation for years?

Who accounts for the psychological, emotional and physical damage inflicted upon her and the anguish imposed upon her family?
Is her real “crime” that she is accused of being Biafran?

Why should anyone face persecution merely for identifying as Biafran or an IPOB member peacefully expressing a belief in self-determination?
People publicly identify with Oduduwa and Arewa without being disappeared into military detention. Why, then, should a Biafran identity be treated as though it were itself a criminal offence?
This is bigger than one woman.
It raises urgent questions about the many people who may still be held in Wawa and other detention facilities - unseen, unheard and unreachable by their families.
Onyeaka Ozioma Elizabeth has a name. She has a family. She has rights. She is not a number to be buried inside a secret detention system.

Nigeria cannot call this justice.
A country in which families must discover through a courtroom video that their missing loved ones are still alive is a country facing a profound crisis of law, humanity and conscience.
We demand transparency and access to legal representation and family contact.
We demand an independent investigation into her arrest, detention, treatment and the legal basis upon which she was held.
And we demand an account of every person still detained incommunicado in Wawa.
Nigeria, a country where injustice is too often defended as national security.

The viral video of the Nigerian police officer has generated outrage. But I believe we are asking the wrong question.

The question is not simply why one officer could say such a thing.

The deeper question is: What happens in a society's consciousness that allows fellow citizens to stop being seen as "one of us" and become "those people"?

As Ojy Okpe @ARISEtv rightly observed, it was not a slip of the tongue. It was a window into a mindset.

But mindsets do not emerge overnight. They are shaped over time by history, narratives, language, politics and repeated patterns of perception.

This is where I believe we need to go deeper.

The deeper issue is not simply prejudice. It is what I call 'The Consciousness of Othering'.

Every injustice begins in consciousness before it appears in behaviour.

Before people discriminate, they first categorise. Before they exclude, they first separate. And before they oppress, they first stop seeing others as "one of us" and begin seeing them as "those people."

That shift in perception is where Othering begins - the psychology of 'othering'.

The question, therefore, is not only why did this officer say it?

If we truly want to understand why many Igbo people continue to experience moments like this, we must be willing to ask not only what happened, but how a society arrives at a level of consciousness where such words can be spoken so casually.
Until we confront that deeper question, we will continue treating symptoms while leaving the root untouched.

Over the next coming days, I will begin exploring this framework in greater depth under the title: The Consciousness of Othering.
Because every act of exclusion begins with a change in consciousness long before it becomes a change in behaviour.

Gbajabiamila Denies It, Budget Confirms It: Who Is Lying About Tinubu’s ₦24bn Agency?

The Gbajabiamila ₦600m question.
It's either our budget is fake, or someone is lying to Nigeria.
Prince Adeyemi says he paid ₦400m cash, owed ₦200m more, just to head a federal agency.
He says trouble started when he refused to surrender 48% of a ₦24bn take-off grant.
That’s ₦11.52bn in kickback.

Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila says the agency doesn’t exist.
Period.
Both cannot be true.
And that’s the real scandal.
If Gbajabiamila is right and the agency is fake, explain this:
First, who smuggled it into the Appropriation Act?
Budgets pass through Budget Office, NASS, and President Tinubu’s assent.
Ghosts don’t write line items.
Section 80(4) Constitution says money only leaves the treasury if the law says so.

Secondly, who told the Head of Service to approve 300 staff?
IPPIS doesn’t pay salaries to spirits. Someone loaded names, grades, and BVNs.

Thirdly, who opened CBN accounts? Section 2 CBN Act restricts CBN to banking government.
No law, no account.
If accounts exist, CBN staff broke the law.

Fourthly, why isn’t Adeyemi in DSS custody?
Section 59 Criminal Code criminalizes false alarm.
Falsely accusing the CoS of ₦600m bribery is a jailable offence.
Silence protects someone.

If Adeyemi is right and the agency exists, Gbajabiamila has bigger problems:
To start with, Section 80 Constitution is dead.
You cannot spend ₦24bn through an agency without an enabling Act.
AG Lagos v AG Federation (2003) already killed that idea.

Again, sale of office is a crime.
Section 98 Criminal Code and Section 10 ICPC Act jail public officers who demand gratification.
₦600m for appointment is state capture.

In addition, 48% kickback is criminal breach of trust.
Section 311 Penal Code.
That’s ₦11.52bn of public money already marked for theft.

What Gbajabiamila and the Presidency must produce in 48 hours:
1.The Gazette.
What law created this agency?
No law means it’s illegal.
2.The budget page.
CTC of the Appropriation Act showing the name, code, and ₦1bn and allocation.

Who are the signatories to the agency accounts?
4.HoS approval letter for 300 staff and IPPIS payroll.
5.Adeyemi’s appointment letter.
Or arrest him for forgery.

Nigeria’s judiciary is weak because the executive plays with budgets like monopoly money.
When a Chief of Staff can deny an agency that has budget, staff, and bank accounts, then Section 80 of the Constitution is just suggestion.

We don’t need press statements.
We need documents or handcuffs.
If Adeyemi lied, jail him.
If he told the truth, jail whoever sold that office and demanded 48%.
Nigeria cannot survive ghost agencies and ghost denials.
One of them belongs in Kuje.

Contrary to the misleading, mischievous, and false narratives being paraded by these irredentists who facilitated the sentencing of their grandmaster to life imprisonment, awaiting the final pronouncement of the death penalty by the Court of Appeal, the Court of Appeal, in a unanimous judgment delivered on Chief Ozekhome and Ejiofor’s appeal on the 13th day of October 2022, did not stop at discharging Nnamdi Kanu, but made a definitive order prohibiting his further trial on any other offence, not only on the charges brought against him, but also prohibiting his trial on any other offences in any court in Nigeria.

For the illiterates who know next to nothing about the law, the content-creator lawyers and their enablers who refused to submit themselves to basic tutelage in law , this prohibitive order by the Court of Appeal is more unequivocal, extant, and affirmative in every material respect than even an acquittal, because an acquittal is restricted to preventing a person from being tried again on the offences for which he was earlier brought to court, whereas this prohibitive order against subsequent trial on any other offences, which is not limited to the offences for which he was being tried before the appeal, is holistic and all-encompassing.

The more devastating consequences of the content-creator lawyers’ unlearned approach to this case will be more pronounced on appeal. Because, on appeal, we can assure you that the verdict of Omotosho J. will be overturned and elevated to a murder sentence. Mark today’s date.

Before his death in 2011, Mr Ojukwu accused Mr Gowon of betraying the agreement allegedly reached at the Aburi meeting, including an understanding that Nigeria would be restructured in a way that allowed the then four regions greater autonomy.
However, in his autobiography, “My Life of Duty and Allegiance”, launched in Abuja on Tuesday, Mr Gowon maintained that there was no agreement at Aburi to allow the Eastern Region to secede and establish Biafra.
Although Mr Ojukwu is no longer alive to respond to the claims in Mr Gowon’s book, an old NTA interview in which he spoke extensively about the Aburi meeting recently resurfaced on social media.
What Ojukwu said
The exact date of the interview could not be independently verified.
In the interview, Mr Ojukwu insisted that records and transcripts of the Aburi meeting showed that both sides reached the partitioning agreements, contrary to Mr Gowon’s recent account.
“The tapes are available, the records are there. In fact, about two weeks ago, I saw a set of the records again. The transcripts are available but we were talking about the Nigerian situation and certainly at the end, everybody said, ‘You told them this, you did that,’” he said.
He argued that the disagreements that followed Aburi were influenced more by external pressures than by differences between himself and Mr Gowon.
“The fact was our case was so clear that I actually believe that at the end of Aburi that the problem was not Gowon but the problem was the ambassadors in Lagos who were pressing for something else because we understood each other, we agreed on every single point,” he said.
Mr Ojukwu also recalled that the minutes of the meeting were drafted jointly by his chief secretary and officials from Mr Gowon’s side, after which both delegations reportedly agreed on the final document.
“The drafting was in fact with my chief secretary with two other chief secretaries from the other side. I said No and drafted, we looked at it and we agreed. General Ankrah read over thr whole report to us again, asked us if we wanted to amend anything. We said No.”
The former Eastern Region leader also claimed that the atmosphere after the meeting was cordial and optimistic.
