The @uscensusbureau public Slack account is a digital national treasure. Smart, patient, shockingly responsive folks who answer sometimes hard questions about complex data quickly. If you use U.S. Census data for whatever, you want to be on their Slack. ❤️
He didn’t need to do that, and there seems to be no way to give some props to that driver beyond star ratings and a generous tip. @Uber consider adding app features for celebrating the decency and caring of drivers like him and not just facilitating complaints. Props to Seon.
Not sure why, but @Uber doesn’t seem to have a way to say nice things about a driver. All the in-app options are for complaints. I called a car for an elderly friend who needed an assist tonight, and the driver gave me a ring to let me know he got home safely.
@POTUS The word he’s using there is “conformation” - the 3D structural shape of the protein. That was a solid explainer by Dr Fauci. Less-solid work on the closed captions 😏
"May this be the story that tells ages yet to come that we answered the call of history, we met the moment. Democracy and hope, truth and justice, did not die on our watch but thrived. That America secured liberty at home and stood once again as a beacon to the world."
It’ll be nice to return to a world where a pillow salesman doesn’t get time on the president’s calendar to suggest martial law as a domestic policy proposal.
It looks like the My Pillow guy was urging the president to use the "Insurrection Act now as a result of the attack" and then "martial law if necessary."
