@elonmusk Tribes that define morality for members, whether under the guise of a religion, party religion, culture, etc.
Every genocide is caused by this.
Every hoped for mundicide comes from this, whether drowning the world or burning it.
Something similar happened at a dinner recently in San Diego: the other three people at The table were terrified, to say anything negative about the homeless negatively impacting their life. One woman opened up eventually saying that she did not feel safe when there were tents on both sides of the street that she used to walk.
@BasedMikeLee Absolutely, we don't need to run everything via an inefficient government bureaucracy.
And, private companies would actually have to pass their tests instead of fail them.
@RyanWhitwam@arstechnica Do you have any other ways for contacting you that don't require downloading a new app?
Facebook and Twitter were the standard, and still are to some extent even with the enshittification of the internet.
Have you tried full self driving in a Tesla?
I took a ride in a friend's cyber truck from an airport to my home about an hour away.
Yes, my friend had to look forward, But the truck successfully got us out of the airport, onto the highway, always passed on the left, and got off on the correct exit, turned right on red safely, and parked on the curb next to my house.
If you have a specific issue with self-driving, could you please report on it?
I just wrote in a friend's cyber truck on the way home from the Salt Lake airport, and the drive takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
The Cyber truck didn't make any mistakes, and was the most polite driver on the road.
My friend never had to touch it, and it did a great job.
@elonmusk Ron Paul would win in a landslide if people voted based on issues rather than dogma.
The less crazy part of the Libertarian party would be what we are looking for I think.
@MBlairTate@clownworld 15% has been standard for a very long time, and then covid happened and people thought that the percentage needed to go up after inflation started taking off.
That's not true though, because percentages are inflation proof.
20% is certainly not the standard.
@IndyJohn59@elonmusk So we should regulate people who are allowed to raise children?
Sounds like you're responding from a place of tribalism, or conflating people with gender dysphoria with gay and lesbian people... Intersectional identity politics has done a number on you. Sorry to see that.
Are you talking about ramping up production, or something else? If we all of the sudden became able to produce a trillion cars per day in the United States, do you think the price of cars is going to go up or down?
Wouldn't ramping up production make prices go down? Or are you talking about the effect from many new jobs driving up the price of Labor as they compete for people's time?
@KUTV2News@itsleslieduarte If you work for the IRS or NSA, or a few other particularly disgusting government entities.... I'm not sure most of us care what you have to say.
