Every bit as bonkers and absorbing as you’d want a Copa Libertadores final to be but with the most sensational moment to decide it. Exhausting but thrilling game to cover @BBCSport
Incredible. Simply incredible 😱
John Kennedy comes off the bench, gets Fluminense ahead in extra time... and then gets sent off for over-celebrating!
The Copa Libertadores final, everybody!

A stumble rather than a swagger into the Champions League, but everything else about Mo Salah & Andy Robertson’s Liverpool farewell felt just right @BBCMOTD https://t.co/PHs4VtYsC9
What do you consider to be Britain's second city?
Manchester: 34% of Britons
Birmingham: 30%
Edinburgh: 12%
Liverpool: 3%
Glasgow: 3%
Cardiff: 2%
Leeds: 1%
Newcastle: 1%
Bristol: 1%
Great to see Sky Sports’ Daniel Mann ahead of Nottingham Forest v Fulham… until he proudly revealed he’d ‘not seen a 0-0 since September 2024.’ Unforgivable curse of the commentator
@MiguelDelaney Think they could offset the negatives of it by semi-lifting the restriction on teams facing another from their domestic competition in the league phase. If your league is so strong you've got 4+ entrants then perhaps there has to be a chance you'll need to play one of your own
Sometimes you get a more forthright response to a question than you were expecting. Worth noting James Trafford the more stretched of the two goalkeepers v Salford City today @BBCMOTD
"I tried to guard against this situation happening, but it's the reality."
Man City's James Trafford says he has to give it his "best shot" every time he plays, after not getting the game time he expected when he joined the club 💪
This is a good story and interesting in lots of ways but striking that Match of the Day, on actual TV, gets almost 7m viewers across a weekend. That’s more than 10% of the (British) population. It’s presumably still how the vast majority of fans consume football.
Didn’t think anything would challenge Harrison Reed v Liverpool for my favourite Premier League hit of the season but Patrick Dorgu has just entered the conversation
