@KelseyCarmanMD Other people are paying way less attention than you realize. That mistake/comment/decison you are agonizing over is likely a blip on their radar.
@KeerthiGondy@ucsfdem @UMichMedAdmiss Very proud of you Keerthi! You are an amazing person and are going to be an amazing physician! It has been a privilege to work with you on NODA and I am excited to be your colleague.
Today was a dream. So excited to be headed to CA for General Surgery Residency training! @UCSFGSResidency@UCSFSurgery !! Cheers to next steps! And a huge thank you to all who helped me get here! @UMichMedAdmiss @UMichSurgery
@KelseyMPH You forgot that you will still have to pay the $1300 to learn telehealth! Hopefully they don't charge us an additional $200 convenience fee for making the exam virtual.
I also want to recognize @KGondy and @goal_diigger two medical students stars who have helped immensely in getting this project off the ground! I also want to thank Amanda Schoettinger (@im_goingpostal) for her dedication to this program before, during, and after COVID!
New piece highlighting the great work our @MResponse_Corps med student volunteers are doing for the No One Dies Alone program. The curve may be flattening, but there is still a lot of need for companionship in the hospital.

Highlighting the great work of the @MResponse_Corps and all of the medical student volunteers! Thanks to everyone who was able to make these initiatives a reality. @Tom_B_Hester @umichmedicine@NadineIIbrahim
In the last week, our two new patient care initiatives have taken off, with >30 trained medical student volunteers caring for non #COVID19 patients to help meet the needs at @umichmedicine. We are so grateful to our volunteers and leaders who developed these programs! #GoBlueMed

@RachelSolnickMD I believe the Office of Patient Experience has already initiated a similar drive. We are partnering with them to deploy this tech as well as tablets from our own initiative in the upcoming weeks!
Proud to officially expand the No One Dies Alone (NODA) program at Michigan Medicine as an extension of the @MResponse_Corps. Medical student volunteers will be trained to sit vigil with patients at end of life who are isolated from family by COVID visitor restrictions. #GoBlue
Awarded grant funding to purchase tablets for the NODA initiative! In the coming weeks, these tablets, along with tech from the @umichmedicine Office of Patient Experience, will be deployed to help end of life COVID patients video chat with family. @klbalz #NoOneDiesAlone
@RachelSolnickMD@PCORI We have secured grant funding for this very purpose via the NODA initiative. Unfortunate that we have to take it upon ourselves, but it will provide at least some extra resources to help reduce the number of people without technology.
@RachelSolnickMD @iwashyna @MResponse_Corps@dorojustin We are working on coordinating with nursing, acquiring the technology, and implementing acceptable decontamination protocols before we will begin providing this service. If you have any thoughts on ideas or solutions, I would love to hear them and brainstorm! 3/
@RachelSolnickMD @iwashyna @MResponse_Corps This is the gap we fill. Re: COVID patients, volunteers are not entering these rooms. They will handle organizing/setting up the technology and calls with the family, then a nurse would take that in when they enter to give meds etc. @dorojustin 2/
What happens when a plastic surgeon, a vascular surgeon, a bunch of transplant surgeons, and an oral and maxillofacial surgeon work together to run a COVID ICU? #GoBlue@UMichSurgery
