Tarik Skubal underwent elbow surgery May 6.
One month and one day later, he threw five scoreless innings on 54 pitches and punched out six at High-A.
Maybe Skubal is just that guy, but if nanoscope technology halves the return time from bone-chip injuries, what an advancement.
Spent the morning cleaning our display cabinets for the sold out Polish HOF induction banquet on June 18th. Things looking good. Gonna be a great night.
You'd be a lot happier if you stopped looking ahead, comparing yourself and your life to others and truly focused on being present. Be where your feet are!

No other nation integrates sports with higher education like our wonderful NCAA model 🇺🇸
Yet, a small contingent is pushing to destroy it to enrich a few agents & a tiny fraction of athletes—many of whom may not have had access to their universities if not for this very system.
Nick Saban raised a fair concern about NIL, the transfer portal, and what college sports are becoming.
But here’s the question:
When coaches maximized their value, it was called business.
When players maximize theirs, it’s called a problem.
Where should the line be? Curious where you stand…
@RossDellenger Incredible news. Surely this means Virginia Tech will immediately rescind the mandatory athletics fee hike they just slapped onto its hardworking regular students...
@NILnotNLI How many universities are really big time in this NIL/Collective world. SEC & Big Ten and power 4??
My research says only 25-30 universities are making money in athletics. Others are being subsidized by the general fund.
Why should regular students be charged a “fee”???
