@jaynordlinger I interned for then-Senator DeWine many years ago in his Cincy office. He and his wife are two of the most sincere, honest, and nice people you would ever hope to meet.
@Andrew_Russell7 Actually, I kinda' *need* to hear it right now. The cap to where this current team can rise is right around 10th- to 12th best team in the world, and it's good to know that there is hope beyond this '26 squad, which played up to its potential, but not above it.
@Andrew_Russell7 I think the main lesson learned is: with stripes kit: 3-0; with stars kit: 0-2. π
Depressing to see them revert to the tentative, shell-shocked team they were six months ago after such a fantastic start.
@bengaljims_BTR He did manage to average over 4.0 yards a carry over his career. Agree with @ImNostraThomas that he was misused/underused in his time in Cincinnati.
@DerSchattenwolf@NouveauDeco Actually, there is one train - the Amtrak Cardinal line - which runs through three times a week. Otherwise, the station has been converted to a series of museums (history, science, children's), Omnimax theater, and conference space. Still one of my favorite places in Cincy.
@roadtocfb Miami alum here. Always felt they could've done more with the original design to incorporate the "Miami look," but recent additions (Dauch Indoor Sports Center behind one end zone and the "Cradle of Coaches" plaza on the other end) are nice touches. Worse places to be on a Sat.
@JHGoodman8404@jeffreyhwalton@MichaelGryboski@ChristianPost Say what you will about the PC(USA), they have always been pretty good at releasing membership numbers in a timely manner - even when that info reflects poorly on the denomination (which is pretty much always).
@Rainmaker1973 To be fair, they heated the wall for 10 minutes and then everyone in the area got the munchies and headed out to Taco Bell, so we're not 10O% sure how long this lasted. π
@AntarcticPasta@MattSmethurst Actually 0-2-1 (or 0-1-2, for those who use the W-T-L formulation), as the USMNT defeated a highly favored England 2-0 in Boston back in 1993. π
@jaynordlinger Conservatives missed the boat on this one. They should've jumped on the Juneteenth bandwagon with two feet, cheered the establishment of a holiday based on freedom for all, and encouraged everyone to go grill some burgers and celebrate. Would've made liberal minds explode.
@roddreher Gary Burbank, legendary disc jockey in Cincinnati in the 80s-90s, had a bit with a flim-flam man whose name was "Big Fat Balding Guy with a Stubby Cigar in His Mouth and His Pants Half-Zipped," or "Big Fat" for short. Didn't realize he actually existed.
@vedabenerabilis@bolido_sentim While the "(not so) young family with 5+ children" resonates with me (see avatar), I would be the "Former ELCA member who gave up on reform there, attended an LCMS church that used the LBW, and fell in love with the LCMS PK across the aisle."
@iowahawkblog White onions and white cheese on a white roll, with white sauces at the ready. I'm of Scandinavian heritage, and that seems like an overload of whiteness, even for me.
