Covered a great Class 6 quarterfinal game for @GSV_STL that saw the home team @JHS_Indians win 5-1 over Lafayette in front of probably the biggest high school baseball crowd I’ve ever seen. What an amazing town Jackson is by heavily supporting their student-athletes in just about everything. Congrats Jackson on advancing to the Final Four for the first time in school history.

Indians score every run with two outs thanks in large part to three CBC infielder errors that directly led to three runs. Then Steve Schneider launched a 3-2 pitch over the left field fence for a 2-run round tripper.

Junior relief pitcher Jaiden Glency pitched 2 1/3 innings of shutout ball in the final innings to defy the Cadets explosive lineup. This game had 20 runs, four home runs, and six errors full of crazy, but very entertaining baseball.

Quinton Borders, Steve Schneider, and Henley Parker among others stood out for the Indians offensively today. So did Kaden Peers, Nazzan Zanetello, and Derrick Pitts for the Cadets.

CBC drops their second game of the season to Jackson in three games between the teams this season. @JHS_Indians meanwhile continue their winning streak to 11 games and have won 17 of their last 18.
