Happy Bandcamp Friday! I DON'T WANT TO GET ADJUSTED TO THIS WORLD is two weeks old today!
ICYMI, I was on WBEZ's Reset With Sasha-Ann Simons to spin a little of the album and talk about Lilith Fair, hiking while gay and writing around the trauma backstory https://t.co/pOz6AJhZgF

In honor of the one-year (and change) anniversary of I DON’T WANT TO GET ADJUSTED TO THIS WORLD I’ll be playing my only full-band, headlining show of the year at @hideoutchicago with Contorno and Marian Runk,
who also have album anniversaries coming up. https://t.co/bk82T2cleD

The words “changing world” come up a lot in these reviews, and - what do you know? - the whole world *did* change in the last year, and not for the better. I’m glad these songs haven’t buckled under the strain yet. I feel the same way about Marian and John’s songs too.

My song "The Newest Soil" got a lovely little write-up in one of my favorite weird-folk blogs, @VSmallFlames. If you only ever hear one of my songs, you should probably make it this one. https://t.co/tCUZMAdQHo

Third single Indigo Bunting is a psych-folk jam about a little blue bird, and how nobody's from anywhere anymore

@AmericanRobb Thanks so much for sharing this!

‘Indigo Bunting’ by @steveslagg feels like mid 70's Laurel Canyon garden rock in repose, when hippies lurked around corners and weed was illegal. on #SoundCloud https://t.co/Z6X5ChtFqp #newmusicAlert #folk #psychedelic #gardenrock #indierock #folk #altpop #flowerpunk

"Maybe Start Now" is the b-side. I wrote it just over a month ago and then recorded it almost immediately on my friend's 4-track machine. It was grueling and fun and it's really tempting me to become a tape hiss guy.

Thinking about getting back on this website to make new music promotion less lonely. Are people still on here? Speaking of, I have a new single out if you wanna listen! https://t.co/gpK6PyV6bk
