Pork and Barrel were bacon and ham years ago. Meanwhile, the National Debt has gone from $7.3 trillion to nearly $40 trillion since then. Any member of Congress paying lip service to the debt today doesn't deserve a promotion to the Senate. Just saying.
Bad guys often agree with your politics.
We need more people voting in primaries who think a person’s qualifications to hold a position of public trust include more than angry vitriol directed at our political opponents.
Character matters. Vote like it.
The Paxton victory in Texas has resurfaced the issue of character. I think young people would be shocked at how much emphasis Republicans and conservatives once placed on character: character in office, character in society. Personal responsibility. Etc. It wasn't that long ago!
Yeah, take it from a 1980s-born political hatchetman and ex-UFC comms director, Mike Pompeo (top of his class at West Point, Harvard Law grad, House Intel, ex-CIA director, ex-SecState) is clueless about Iran.
@four4thefire Don’t forget that after the scandal he was re-elected to SC01 from 2013 until Trump came after him in 2018. Sanford wouldn’t bend to Trump’s nonsense and the candidate Trump endorsed lost in the general.
Yes because planes can be replaced. “I will never leave a fallen comrade” is fundamental to the warrior ethos. It’s part of what should be an unbreakable bond between a warrior and the nation he or she serves.
Oh wow you hate Israel and think America is evil? Did you just graduate from Oberlin? You’re so original I’ve never heard this before.
Just dye your hair purple and put pronouns in your bio while you’re at it.
You’re a leftist.
“Maybe it’s the Gen-X in me, but I don’t care if the coveted demographic of 18-34 year olds like me—because they don’t know shit about shit.
They think they do, because they’ve grown up online with supercomputers in their pockets and cameras in their faces and gentle parenting. And because they’re young and it’s just a function of being in your twenties to think you know everything—in this way, they’re normal. In every other way, they’re not.”
Scarlet Oak is fine, but if you came up in the Cap Lounge, Bar 201, Hill Country, Town Hall, SoHo, and Tortilla Coast era of DC, you’re built different.
The ONE gubernatorial debate in my home town, where I live, is on the day I have VOTES in the US House in Washington.
This is the establishment at work; trying to keep the leading candidate out of a debate by scheduling it when they know I can't be there.
Just walked out of a House Armed Services briefing on Iran. Let me repeat: I will not support troops on the ground in Iran, even more so after this briefing.
Again-repeating myself- the story of Joe Kent resigning is one of building up a narrative in MAGA media realm that exploits the growing rift between the content creator wing & political MAGA wing. He's getting in front of the bad that is coming with audience he knows adores him
You’d be amazed at how often the secret and conveniently unwitnessed wishes and words of the deceased, expressed to tangential, ambitious characters reflect perfectly what those tangential, ambitious characters wanted to do and say anyway. Crazy, that.
This story is lacking context and stirring outrage where it shouldn't be. Let the troops eat good. Theres plenty of actual fraud and waste in DoD, this aint it. Surf and Turf steak and lobster is a long running treat especially for deployed troops & extended ops tempos. Its fine
In articles about Texas politics, I keep seeing that Paxton is more "conservative" than Cornyn, and that Toth is more "conservative" than Crenshaw. I lament the corruption of this term. Conservatism does not equal, say, election denial. Burke 'n' the boys would be like, "WTF?"
