Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSDs) are becoming an increasingly significant part of TVL in DeFi.

As the importance of LSDs in the crypto space continues to grow, it's essential to explore how DeFi coverage providers can capitalize on this trend and discuss our plans for the future.

Clearly, LSDs are not a fleeting trend but are poised to stay as a leading element in DeFi's future trajectory. DeFi users prefer LSD tokens as they provide liquidity on staked capital while offering additional yield opportunities.

Liquid Staking is the largest segment within DeFi, boasting a TVL of over $30 billion. The risks, such as slashing, will only increase as the LSD market continues to extend beyond Ethereum to include protocols on Avalanche, Solana, and other emerging blockchains.

This expansion presents a promising opportunity for UNO DAO to increase its presence in DeFi, especially with the upcoming launch of our v2 dApp featuring security and decentralization enhancements.

Although the UNO product offerings include an LSD validator-slashing coverage focused on @LidoFinance - the leading player in the industry - it's time to introduce additional validator-slashing products to expand our reach in other DeFi ecosystems across various blockchains.

When considering stablecoins supported by LSDs, the need for coverage-infrastucture for LSDs becomes crucial. These are essential in enhancing the security of these stablecoins, especially in guarding against de-pegs. This reality underscores the increased importance of expanding LSD coverage, opening up even larger opportunities.

As for the planned expansion, several protocols have been identified for potential listing once the dApp becomes operational; since DAO participants will have the ultimate voting power to decide on these listings, it is essential to gather input from everyone.
