A few years ago, I discovered Parker Ito, and with the emergence of the Avant-NFT scene, I quietly started collecting his pieces. Drilady, Horses 2 and 7, The Pilgrim’s Living Room Crucifixion, 10,000 Oil Paintings.

There’s something about his work that I find hard to put into words, but that drew me in from day one. Maybe it’s what he himself described in a recent fascinating conversation with @AlexEstorick on @RtClick_Save as art that “lures you in with its dumbness but then reveals a complexity that might not have been apparent at first.”

Whatever it is, I’m incredibly happy to have acquired one of his very few 1/1s today:

Starting today, four translucent sculptures with gorgeous, custom PCBs observe movement throughout the Museum through a variety of sensors. Each senses a different aspect of the Museum: the elevator’s motion, the swinging of a door, visitors passing through a corridor or ascending a staircase.
