The panellists were laughing and giving Robert a hard time last night just because he is an ordinary bloke. Robert is you and me, he is your son, and he grafts for a living, something these opposing candidates never do. They weren’t just trying to degrade Robert. No, this is exactly what they think of you, the everyday Brit that works hard for a living.

Having watched Question Time tonight, Rob Kenyon was not the walkover that many on the gloating Left were predicting and hoping for.

His first time on national TV obviously was accompanied by some nerves but he answered straightforwardly and honestly.
If he did not know an answer, he had the courage to say so, unlike so called professional politicians who would just waffle around it instead.

He also came across as a decent and down to earth bloke who knew his home area.

Another fantastic day in Makerfield! History is writing itself here. Robert is an absolutely top lad, his family are wonderful and they love and support him. We watched Wigan rugby team win in the pub today, and I don’t think it is the last win we will watch over the next few weeks in Wigan.
