@JBPVFM I can appreciate that. Best not to count the chickens before the eggs hatch. Reality is that a proper coach will probably have more immediate impact than he will.
Gavin McKenna says going to a Canadian market would be pretty special for him, also saying he’d be “pretty fortunate” to end up a Maple Leaf, given where they finished in the standings over the last decade (off year last year).
“Going to a Canadian market would be pretty special. The situation the Toronto Maple Leafs are in right now, it’s pretty crazy that they got the first overall pick, their team is probably going to be fighting for the playoffs next year. I’d be pretty fortunate to go there.”

@MathewHills1 Agreed. Especially since we are trying to unload Rielly which will probably require us sweetening the pot. Maybe Koblar's emergence gives us a bit more to trade with?
Crazy to think how close we were to losing the draft lottery and sending Knies to the Habs for futures. Razor thin.
Tre should have been gone with Berube in November.

@CanadasLeafs That's fair. However, moving forward, I hope we have a leadership that will not put us through another Tre. Let's see what Chayka does. He has not really done anything yet other than hit a lay up in firing Berube and lucking out with the lottery.
@MathewHills1 I don't think the Leafs have to add to that at all. I am not completely sold on Byfield. Love Clarke.
I know we need D, but taking Willy off hurts an already weak W. I think it's fair. Not sure either would do it. LA is already paying Panarin 11M on the W. What do you think?
