If you can't or won't spend what needs to be sent to field a real contender, you shouldn't own a MLB team.

But it's disingenuous to say that Larry Dolan is a top-5 richest MLB owner.

@fuzzyfromyt Guardians ownership is NOT top 5. Dolan's family net worth includes Larry's brother Charles who has WAY more money than Larry - two totally independent ownership groups. And I highly doubt Larry gets any of that financial flexibility for the Guardians.

@JoezMcfLy The Guardians owner is not worth 4.6 billion. His BROTHER is worth that but those are two totally seperate ownership groups and for some reason all sources tend to lump the whole family together. I guarentee Larry Dolan sees none of Charles Dolans' money for the Guards.

It sucks to lose a winnable series, but these guys were 10 games under .500 last year...an incredible accomplishment to do this.
Rookies get some postseason experience, now we need healthy, solid starting pitching.
