Pretty insane that the president falls asleep in the Oval Office during televised meetings on a near daily basis and there aren't overwhelming calls for the 25th Amendment
Five years ago, as a computer science student at Waterloo, I was told the only way to build world-class products was to move to the US.
I ended up co-founding Float here in Toronto instead, and today we're growing our engineering team by more than 25% to rebuild Canada's financial infrastructure for Canadian businesses.
If you're an engineer who wants to build world-class products on home soil, I'd love to meet you. Our open roles are in the comments.
🚨🇮🇱 The TERRIFYING plunge of the FlyDubai flight...
A flight carrying 174 people, including 27 children, dropped 14,125 feet in just 29 seconds (!!) this AM.
The co-pilot allegedly forced the aircraft into a dive after attacking the captain, before passengers and crew (including undercover special forces) regained control.
The plane ultimately landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Thank God... 🙏

This video of the flight from Dubai plunging as the co-pilot appears to have tried to crash it is chilling. There were 174 passengers headed to Tel Aviv including 27 children. You can hear the kids scream. Thank goodness for the heroes on board.
Summarises the entire argument for slowing the progress of AI.
The most neurodivergent tech bros on Earth’s surface are building this powerful technology, controlled by a political leader who is corrupt and greedy.
Dear American friends, while we wait for sanity to return, we’re going to start seeing other countries. It’s not you, it’s him. Looking forward to better days for all of us.
Mark Carney says that Stelco's American owners "betrayed" the up to 500 workers the company is set to layoff in Hamilton.
Cleveland-Cliffs agreed with the feds not layoff anyone until 2029, a deal Carney plan to "pursue to the full extent of the law"
There was money on the table from the feds to avoid layoffs according to Carney, who noted that Cleveland-Cliffs CEO has been a vocal Trump steel tariff supporter, while the company blamed those tariffs as one reason why over 80% of their Hamilton workforce is set to be laid off #cdnpoli
"Lagos has significant work ahead", you say.
That's correct. You and your principals have had 27 years to do that significant work and things have simply deteriorated progressively to the point where Lagos State is now just one massive unified refuse dump.
It is clear that either you, however well intentioned you might be, or your principals, or all of you, lack the capacity, or the will, or the inclination to fix the refuse problem.
It almost feels as if we are in a paid giant medical experiment, to see how many variants of which diseases Lagosians can contract from the sheer amount of garbage, and how long it will take to kill us all with these unsanitary conditions, and when you match this with the welfare or lack thereof of Medical Practitioners, it begins to look plausible, doesn't it?
I have told you a few times. Waste management requires a degree of MICROMANAGEMENT and attention to detail that you simply cannot deploy in an over-centralised system such as you've been running unsuccessfully for 27 years.
@GRVlagos and I plan to return waste management to the LGAs, per the provisions of S.1h of the Fourth Schedule of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria. To this end, we will provide take -off resources to ensure that the waste is sorted, recycled and incinerated as appropriate, with the waste hear being captured for power generation.
We also plan to help the LGAs capture the sewage, for the production of biogas on the one hand, for further power generation through the use of biogas-powered microturbine arrays, and manure, on the other hand, to boost agricultural production, and cause a significant drop in the cost of food.
If we all work together, we can Make Èkó Great Again.

Leaving the European Union has done immense damage to living standards, to businesses and to economic growth in London and across the country.
It’s great to see the Prime Minister calling out this historic mistake.
Looking forward to working with the PM to open a new chapter in EU relations.
