It's crazy how the average adult man is obsessed with sport, even trashing professional sports players. But can't even lift his own body weight. He cares more about other men's physical performance than his own
Before rich people diversify into multiple income streams like rental property, book royalties, speaking gigs, a share portfolio, etc...
...they generally become rich from ONE income stream.
FOCUS first... then DIVERSIFY later.
I once had this Golf conversation with someone whose company brings in about 500 million naira a month and this is what he told me.
First, Rich people like Golf because of the exclusivity it offers, the membership alone, the instruments, paying caddies, etc for a random sport is expensive hence made it a fave for only the super rich. Some clubs demand a huge mouth watering fee to join.
Another thing he mentioned to me is that in one of the Golf clubs which he belonged to, they check your bank accounts, bank statements and annual returns, If you aren't turning in billions yearly, you could not join this particular club, so that weeded away low income earners ensuring only the 0.0001% of the 1% are able to access it. Anything that is exclusive attracts rich people viz a viz luxury brands like Rolls Royce, Paganini, Bugatti, etc
He mentioned also, the networking there is crazy. Told me how he closed a deal that was taking so long to close, just because the CEO of the said company came that day to play Golf, a deal that's been taking weeks of paper works was closed over one phone call.
He also mentioned some added advantages like accessibility to some top choice hotels, recreational facilities, yacht rides amongst many which are given as an addition to the membership.
Also you get to have the super rich support you and come to your events.
When you belong to societies like these with the super rich, when you have events like birthdays, marriages, celebrations, they turn up for you and because of the kind of connections they wield, the celebration becomes one that's a creme de la creme event.
It isn't stressful , it is one sport where there is minimal stress as your paid caddie follows you and carries youe equipments.
What better way to live as a rich person.
If you’re under 30 and have no responsibilities, I recommend working as many hours per week as humanly possible.
You’ll never be able to work this hard again. And the compounding effects of a few years can set up your life for decades.
Underrated life advice: Nothing will improve your quality of life more than proximity to people you love. It’s worth more than any job will ever pay you.
