The rock is Christ. 1Corin 10:4.. Peter denied Christ 3 times, plus Paul had to call him out on his hypocrisy. The church is not built on Peter.. Christ is our foundation that will never fail us like Peter failed Christ. All of us have failed the Lord, why would he build his church on any of us?
