@JCup2013 I doubt TKO is gonna throw big money contracts at AEW guys going forward. It’s more cost effective to build up stars from NXT than to try and out bid a billionaire who loves bangers over bucks. The New Level’s offer of over a 60% pay cut is a sign of a new era of contracts

@JCup2013 This simultaneously gives AEW a different look and feel over a heavy dramatized and entertainment centric WWE product. It becomes more about who’s the best in ring talent, which is the goal of rankings except this grants the booker more freedom.

@JCup2013 It’s a great way to showcase talent, weave in storylines, and highlight different divisions in an already deep roster. Having 3 major tournaments a year fills up tons of TV time. The NBA’s success with in season tournaments (Knicks in 5) is proof that it’s a draw.
