The slop cycle:
1) Company is caught or admits to using AI
2) They get blasted for it online and in the press
3) Company puts out a damage control statement, trying to justify their use of AI
4) This only makes people more angry, doing further damage to the brand
5) Company has a sudden change of heart and decides not to use AI anymore
How many more times are we going to do this? Sega, listen to your customers. We DO NOT WANT AI in our games.
Riot is built on the backs of the incredible artists that have worked there, past and present--but I'm hearing more and more about them forcing AI on their artists, and if true it's deeply disrespectful to its fans and the artists forced to use this unethical technology.
The problem gentlemen is you think "rapist" means scary man in a hoodie lurking in an alleyway at 3am. Of course you'd block that guy.
But it's the boyfriend you really loved who was angry that you hadn't wanted sex for two days and pinned you for the bed and then felt really bad about it.
It's the really sweet guy backstage who you loved working with for the whole production who knew you only wanted to be friends and then got you drunk at the after party and raped you in a dressing room.
It's the husband who whined and pleaded for sex long after you've said no for hours and refused to take no for an answer until you gave in every night for four years until you realised what it was.
It's the childhood friend who knows your parents and is your brother's best mate who suddenly attacked you when you were 17 and then told you he'd be thrown out of Oxford if you said anything.
It's the kind colleague who offered to drive you home from that conference when there was a train strike and then forced his hands into your pants in a lay-by and then threatened to leave you there at 3am if you didn't stop being a cockteasing bitch.
We're not dumb. We see the constant attempts to make anything short of stranger with a knife made up, regret, our fault really, a matter of the woman not being clear.
We know why you keep trying to make this 'not rape'. Because if coercion, marital rape, pressure, manipulation and exploitation count, then the comforting fantasy that rape is only ever a stranger with a knife falls apart.
Incels on Faye from God of War Laufey:
"It's not make-up, lighting or rendering, they changed her character model to be way more ugly!"
Here's comparisons of Deborah Ann Woll from the game vs her in Daredevil Born Again Season 2.
It's clearly a 1:1 scan and facial model, down to her moles and marks, only with typical real time rendering limitations and lighting differences. Keep in mind even CGI struggles with outright photo realism.
Her hairstyle and one tiny scar on her cheekbone are different, but the latter could've been a mark from an injury she had during the facial scan that she didn't during filming of Daredevil BA Season 2.
Again, she wasn't made more ugly, some of ya'll just have such limited exposure to real women, your worldview on female appearance and the impact of makeup, lighting, age etc, is utterly fucked. #GodOfWarLaufey
Desculpa mas bi sofre preconceito mesmo em relacionamento "hétero" sim

They forget a killer is voiced by a trans woman.
They forget 2 survivors are trans, 1 voiced by a trans actress.
They forget there’s a gay survivor.
They forget there’s a lesbian killer.
It’s time to remember what game you’re playing. It exists whether you like it or not.
🏳️🌈 Happy Pride Month, forever and always! 🏳️🌈
In God of War (2018), you spend the entire game mourning a woman who never says a word. She's just a body you carry up a mountain. The next game makes her the hero. And in the old stories, she once fought Thor to a standstill.
Her name is Faye. She dies in the opening, and everything after is Kratos, the bald, furious warrior you play as, and his young son Atreus carrying her ashes to the highest peak in the world. You never hear her speak. You only ever see her wrapped in cloth, then burning on a funeral fire.
What the games slowly reveal is who she was. To the giants she was Laufey the Just, a warrior who led uprisings against Odin and his gods and shielded the weak from them, even breaking their prisoners loose. She fought Thor once and neither of them won. He was drunk at the time, fine, but Thor is the hardest hitter the gods have, so holding him off at all says plenty.
That famous axe Kratos throws and magically calls back to his hand was hers first. The dwarf blacksmiths Brok and Sindri forged it for her, built to match Thor's hammer, and she handed it down to Kratos before she died.
She also quietly set the whole story in motion. She could see the future, so she marked the trees around their home, arranged her own funeral, and aimed Kratos and Atreus straight at the journey that eventually topples Odin. The person steering all of it spent the entire time as a corpse.
Sony revealed God of War: Laufey at their June State of Play, with twenty minutes of gameplay. Everyone figured a prequel, since she's dead. Nope. Creative director Cory Barlog says it's "a continuation of the timeline," starting the moment after that funeral. Instead of resting in peace, Faye wakes up somewhere called the Everywhen, the afterlife of the gods. Dead gods from all kinds of myths claw over the last scraps of power there, and the plans she made to protect her family are already coming apart.
The fighting is built around her, not her husband. Kratos is slow and heavy and hits like a truck. Faye is quick and airborne, leaping and juggling enemies in the air with a magic sword. She can hit an enemy hard enough to knock its soul clean out of its body, then start wailing on the soul itself. Deborah Ann Woll, Karen from Daredevil, plays her again, and the character is modeled on her face. Her first sidekick is a talking jelly cube named Phranque, voiced by Jack Quaid from The Boys.
There's no release date yet, and it's PS5 only. The woman whose death powered two of the best action games ever made finally gets to fight her own war.
Men being furious about playing as a magical goddess that thickens the story/mythology while happily roleplaying as a half-naked oiled-up rage god for decades is one of gaming’s funniest self-reports.
Women have been playing as men forever and somehow survived. Wild.
