Today I will:
- wear soft pants and eat chips
- donate to as many state level folks who are doing the work as I can (@ReproFundNH@TomShermanNH @DebrasATeam @Maggie_Hassan)
- check the dates on my Plan B stockpile
- make sure my people know I’m all in on our right to health care
Dear Commissioner Edelblut,
Respecting people's identities, understanding gender across a spectrum, Black Lives Matter, Trans Rights = Human Rights, & finding a place of belonging ARE family values in my family.
You don't speak for this family. You aren't protecting anything.
Governor Sununu said he shared some of the concerns raised by Commissioner Edelblut, but distanced himself from the commissioner’s tactics.

Nguyen isn’t the only restaurant owner to notice a change in customers’ behavior post-reopening.
“I’ve been seeing a huge rise in people just forgetting to be human,” said Mina Makram, founder of Palo Alto bakery Misfits Bakehouse.
@jackielcilley@deanbarker What if this is all a sad misunderstanding and it’s a player piano that it’s last owners didn’t know was a player piano. And it just plays because that’s it’s job, not because it’s haunted. Sentient, maybe. Haunted, no. This feels like the premise of a great short story………..
My NH State Senator was invited to a local forum webinar about school funding. She declined because she said she didn’t know enough about school funding. She is the Chair of the Senate Education Committee.
Y’all.
What.
Raise your hand if you spent the first year of the pandemic fretting about your 70+ yo parents being exposed & now you will spend the next 5+ months of the pandemic fretting about your >12 yo child being exposed all because people don’t want to wear a freaking mask. I hate this.
What does Dr. Chan think of fully vaccinated people being cleared to go maskless indoors? "I'm a little unhappy with how the CDC rolled out its guidance," he says, adding that the CDC went to the media first, so he's unprepared to comment on the CDC's rationale.
A great reminder! Also families with kiddos under 12 who have spent the last year hearing “my mask protects you, your mask protects me”. ❤️
And retail workers who don’t want to add “vaccination confirmation agent” to their list of “other duties as assigned”.
Here's a thought: Maybe vaccinated people are still wearing masks because none of us know who is and is not vaccinated and so it is an act of being unselfish to not force workers/others to determine who is putting them at risk and who isn't. WE'RE STILL IN A PANDEMIC.
@frostnhstaterep@daydrmr They gave us little plastic sleeves for ours at the second appointment! Like the little sleeves your name badge is in on a lanyard at a conference. I bet a lot of folks have extras of those name badge sleeves kicking around in their junk drawers!
Our teachers were in one of the very first vaccine pods and they will not be considered fully vaccinated until April 23rd. The Governors math skills are as shitty as his ability to hide his open distain for public educators and public schools.
Remember last year when school districts heart achingly & methodically made individual decisions to pull in person learning & then 3 days later the Gov rolled in & “saved the day” by ordering us all remote? Yeah. He just did that again only in reverse. I’m incandescent with rage.
If you work in retail/food service & vaccines have launched a whole new breed of challenging customer, “But I’m Vaccinated” guy, into your life... I see you, I feel you, I am you.
If you are vaccinated, don’t be “But I’m Vaccinated” Guy. Wear the mask, follow the rules, be kind.
🧵I have a lot to say about HB544 here in NH (spoiler: not much of it is good) but here’s my story. Someone very close to me works for a company that, like every company, released a “commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion” in 2020 which included some basic DEI trainings.
This idea that the “only” thing HB544 prohibits are “harmful” CRT trainings is truly comical. If you believe that all forms of diversity, equity, and inclusion trainings won’t be immediately challenged under this bill, I have an oceanfront house in the Upper Valley to sell you.
