I’m envisioning the PG fit to be pretty similar to the Jrue fit. Jrue handled the ball a bit, set screens, hit open jumpers, and defended at an elite level.
PG can slot into that role as a better self creator as well and he’s 6’9.
The Red Sox have such a weird injury history this season, let’s dive in:
- Roman Anthony last played on May 4th, the team originally thought he could avoid an IL stint
- Garrett Crochet has been on the IL since April 29, he was originally hoping to just miss one start
- Curtis Mead hit on the hand in his second AB with the team, manager Chad Tracy said “looks like we dodged a bullet, maybe” after the game. His wrist is broken
The Warriors and Celtics talked about a Jaylen Brown trade around the trade deadline that included the following, per @ShamsCharania
- Several first round-picks
- Pick swaps
- Second round-picks
The Warriors were ultimately not interested

Still processing this trade. Really hate to see Connelly Early go. But I’m excited to see Curtis Mead’s bat added to the lineup. It’s a gamble for the Red Sox but if it pays off they’ll have the Aussie through 2030.
