@gruber We started phasing it out and replacing it with self-righteous, performative, public outrage at some point in the last 20 years. The latter was better for “engagement”.
@MIDImyers He’s currently working on a remix of this series and has already said the new part 4 is going to touch on the issues around AI-generated art, so I’m looking forward to the refreshed perspective.
@MIDImyers Back then the primary concern of this segment was the DMCA, patent trolls, and trade agreements. But I think the underlying issue—that we haven’t yet found a way to adequately compensate people for their creative work—is the same.
