@TerraMeijar Personally, I chose to focus on family and friends first, even if it meant "progressing less" (everything is relative) with my career.

Money is interesting, but it's shallow. The more you get, the more you need ;-)

@TerraMeijar @sudo_overflow You can also work as a freelancer to accelerate your growth. Work for small startups and you'll gain a lot of knowledge much faster; that way you'll reach your financial objectives faster. Staying at the same place for a long time works, but is slower.

You make a valid point in that developers are not immune to the impact of the pandemic on small business - It would be interesting to understand if any of the funding received included technological developments, that said it’s definitely necessary to have the tech & pay for it.
