Truck driver documenting the rebuild.
Working long hours while building systems for more stability, time freedom, and a better future for my family.
No fake guru lifestyle.
No overnight success story.
Just consistent work.
If you’re rebuilding too, welcome.
Made it to Dallas. Full docks and another driver has already been waiting about 3 hours. Now I’m waiting for a truck to pull out so I can back in. Next load is already up: Carrollton, TX → Fort Payne, AL. Sometimes patience is part of the load too. #Trucking
Alarm at 3:15. Only 4 hours came back on the split. Not enough for the Dallas push, so I finished the full 10 instead of forcing it. Fresh clock at 5:15, fueled in Eutaw, now taking my 30 in Choudrant, LA. Adjust the plan. Keep moving. Day 52.
Day 51.
Shut down at a rest area in Cottondale, AL with 9 minutes left on my split clock.
Taking an 8 hour sleeper break before continuing toward Dallas.
Park it safe. Get the rest. Finish the run tomorrow.
Still grateful.

Day 51.
Changed the plan this morning.
Instead of Nashville and Memphis, I’m running Atlanta and Birmingham toward Dallas. Less steep grades and a chance to restock some essentials before running out.
Sometimes the smartest move isn’t sticking to the original plan. It’s adjusting before a small problem becomes a bigger one.
Dallas ahead.
Still grateful.
Day 50.
Started making calls about a new fundraising program today.
Already realizing this requires a different mindset.
The goal isn’t to convince organizations they need to fundraise.
They already have the need.
The question is whether we can offer them a better option.
Day 49. Fueled in Staunton, loaded in Gladstone and shut down early in Reidsville, NC for a 34 hour reset.
Sometimes the smart move isn’t using every hour available. It’s positioning yourself for what comes next.
Dallas is next. Short day, still grateful.
Day 48.
Gary, IN ➝ Clear Brook, VA.
Didn’t get quite as far as I wanted today.
But sometimes “close enough to stay on schedule” is the win.
Tomorrow we deliver, reset, and move on to the next load.
Progress doesn’t always look perfect.
Day 47. Reset day turned into another road day after delays earlier this week left me with hours available. Tomahawk, WI ➡️ Harrisonburg, VA. Plans change. We adjust and keep moving safely. Still grateful.
Day 46.
Unloaded in Conway.
Drop and hook in Springfield.
Fueled in Strafford.
Now headed toward Tomahawk, WI.
Won’t make it there today, but after yesterday’s delays, it feels good just to be moving again.
Some days you cover miles.
Some days you practice patience.
Both are part of the journey.
Still grateful.

Day 46.
Yesterday: 2 blown tires and 8+ hours waiting on roadside.
This morning: unloading in progress and the next load already waiting.
Some days trucking tests your driving.
Other days it tests your patience.
Either way, we keep moving.
#TruckLife#OTRTrucking
Two blown trailer tires turned today into an 8.25 hour roadside wait.
Finally repaired, fueled in Hazen, AR and made it to the receiver in Conway.
Docked now. Unloading at 0700 tomorrow.
Short run. Long wait. Still grateful.
#Trucking#OTR
6 hours waiting on roadside at Mile Marker 264 after two blown tires.
Most drivers slow down or move over when safe.
A few have passed close enough to knock over my warning triangles.
Please remember: there’s a person beside that disabled truck.
Slow down. Give them room.
Day 44.
Yesterday I shut down 5 miles short of the receiver.
This morning: fueled, checked in, docked and waiting to unload.
Next load is already lined up.
You can’t control every delay.
You can control whether you keep building while you wait.
Prosper, TX ➡️ DeRidder, LA.
Straight shot. Arrived on time. Checked in.
Now 12th in line to unload right at shift change. 😂
Sometimes the driving is the easy part. The waiting teaches the patience.
Still grateful.
Day 41.
0700 delivery in Grand Prairie complete. Paper rolls unloaded and trailer empty.
Now heading to Prosper for the next pickup.
New week. Same focus: handle what’s in front of me and keep moving.
Day 39.
Could’ve pushed closer to Monday’s receiver.
Instead, I chose a truck stop in Dallas with the amenities I’ll need for the weekend.
Not every available hour has to be used just because it’s available.
Sometimes the smarter move is positioning yourself for what comes next.
Short day. Still grateful.
