@snet_robert And metrics can be of value, if used ethically and whilst taking into account known limitations. Analyzing concerns helps us assess which limitations seem to be widely known already and where additional communication appears to be necessary. (2/2)
@snet_robert The goal is not to make „them“ like metrics, but to at least prevent them from misusing metrics because of misconceptions about what they can and cannot do. Metrics are and will most likely continue to be out there, little affected by their popularity among researchers. (1/2)
