Parent-run events for St. Leo Catholic Elementary School! Proud advocates of revitalizing the school and it's historical value in the Mimico Community.
To all the teachers we Thank you for everything you have sacrificed for us and sorry for all the things we put you through as kids. Your love, kindness and guidance has showed us our path. Happy Teachers Day
Happy Labour Day!
We are really looking forward to greeting our students, staff and families on Thursday, September 9 as we start the 2021-22 school year! #OntEd
And that’s a wrap on quite the year. So #proud of my Ss and their strength and progress this year. They remained resilient in the midst of everything thrown their way. We have a lot to learn from our students. #SchoolsOut#SummerBreak#TCDSB#OntEd@stleotcdsb@stleosfun
Learning loss isn’t real. Today my students patiently guided another staff member with using #JamBoard and how to utilize its functions. “Are you using a tablet or a computer?” “You came make your sticky notes transparent”. I ❤️ my Ss #OntEd#TCDSB@TCDSB_STEAM@stleotcdsb
Congratulations to Ms. Bonnici has been recognized for the month of June as an Unsung Hero. Her work ethic, dedication and care that she demonstrates daily is truly remarkable. We are very fortunate to have Ms. Bonnici as part of our school community! #tcdsb
For the first time in Tcdsb history, we celebrate Pride month. For the month of June , the pride flag will be raised as a symbol of inclusion, dignity, and love for 2SLGTBQ+. We are all wonderfully made. Created in Gods Image. #tcdsb#stleo#pride
My Ss had a mesmerizing time with magician @scottdietrich78. Merci beaucoup @stleosfun and @stleotcdsb for the opportunity. They loved showing each other tricks following the show. Here’s some positive feedback:
June is Indigenous Heritage Month @TCDSB! Today, we wear orange/lower flags in memory of the 215 children & for all residential school victims/survivors. We celebrate the contributions of Indigenous people, honour Indigenous history and ways of knowing & combat anti-Indigeneity.
Tomorrow, all flags will be lowered at half-mast in memory of these & all residential school victims & survivors. We also encourage all #TCDSB students and staff to wear orange in a show of solidarity with residential school survivors and the “Every Child Matters” movement.
Don't forget that May 13 is "Be Your Own Superhero" Day @TCDSB where we stand up to discrimination in all forms (and coinciding with our Simu Liu event). And speaking of superheroes, Happy Mother's Day to all mothers!
The Board of Trustees has voted in favour of proclaiming Pride Month every June starting in 2021; & that the Pride flag be flown at the Board office & all #TCDSB schools for the month of June.
Today is World Principals' Day. Thank you to our Principals and VPs who contribute to the success of our schools by demonstrating care, compassion and support for all staff, students and families .
