@JonathanPieNews Ms Kostense-Winterton says: “We’re what you’d call normal people in the middle.” Says almost everyone… and those who don’t are either very wealthy or miserably poor. Vacuous reporting that simply reinforces the horror of division.
@RishiSunak One of the grossest confusions I can imagine. The criminal gangs don’t make the issue. They exploit it. Challenge the issue, by offering safe routes to these shores, and the criminality evaporates. The Tory approach is so often to get this wrong.
@GaryLineker So, the Tory point is that because it’s a tricky challenge and because nothing else has been suggested, sending adults to Rwanda is the only option, even though it’s harsh? 😳
@carolvorders @meh1771 Abstaining is an act of public duty in itself, surely? Those bemoaning the absence of some as though they have a job to do through "turning up" forget that the democratic process extant in the HoC permits and includes the capacity to abstain.
@deiradiotes @gavinesler The issue isn’t“should they cross?” but “how can we care for those who do?” By all@means@reallocate those who could safely be elsewhere. But having crossed, simply show kindness.
@BorisJohnson Please stop trying to appear relevant. You have been invisible since you resigned in such a huff. You can only show up in Kyiv and pretend to be a war leader of a war you seem pleased to have let happen. For all our sakes please stop.
@suzanne_moore Depending on how the west act, intervening might simply hasten the deaths of millions. The only way to stop bombs is to block airspace, that rill be an act of war to Putin, & th4 lead to global conflict. Is a new “Syria” in fact the only way out from WW3?
