Yesterday’s groundbreaking brings us closer to ensuring 911 calls are answered swiftly and with the care they deserve. 🚑

Starting in 2026, the state-of-the-art Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) will house cross-trained dispatchers for police, firefighters, and paramedics, and house the City Emergency Management Agency. 🚨

Construction for the facility is made possible, in part, through a $10M investment from the American Rescue Plan Act, meaning all of the city’s pandemic relief funds will be encumbered by the December 31st deadline.
