It’s Graduation Day for our 8th Graders. They have a great future ahead of them and we all will await their success. We also say goodbye to 29 families as this is their final child at STM. Graduation will be live-streamed on STM Facebook as we are limiting the amount of attendees
Former 8th Grade Parents- Informantion about Graduation has been emailed out. Please note the limited number of attendees and who to contact if you are not attending. Thank-you for your patience and understanding.
Tuesday was the final official day at St. Thomas More. I will be keeping this account throughout the end of the month and give updates on Graduation. If you are curious what I’m doing now-I’m back on the Kansas side in the Archdiocese. Follow me @HNJKCKPrincipal if you would like
Hopefully you will follow the new Principal as well. Like always you get the news here first. STM‘s new principal is Linda Crosthwait. She comes to us from Blue Valley Schools. Welcome to STM Linda- you will enjoy this great place!
How fun was this today-end of school parade. I went through 125 streamers within 20 minutes. We loved seeing the kids for the first time in several months. The family turnout was great-so great that the @kcpolice came to help move the traffic along. We appreciated their help.
It’s a little difficult to write this tweet as I should be sitting in an 8th Grade Graduation right now and preparing to celebrate with our Students at their dinner/dance. Although they are not here now, we are so Proud of our Leaders. We’ll celebrate in July! #STMCLASS2020
Stopped by several 8th Graders homes today to thank them for all their hard work at STM. Today was the final day for our 8th Grade Leaders. It was so great to see their faces again. Thanks to several other staff who made some visits to the 8th Grade families as well. We miss you!
Happy Mother’s Day to all STM Moms! Thanks for everything you do with your children each day, especially these past several weeks. Have a great day-we appreciate you!
Also a personal shout-out to 2 of the best Moms I know-my 89 year-old Mother (Betty Smith) and my wife, Yvonne.
End of the school year PARADE! Come see all the staff NEXT Friday, May 15 from from 10-11 am in the back school parking lot! Make signs, bring noise makers, decorate your car! The teachers want to see you!
It is now official-8th Grade Graduation is now on Wednesday, July 29th. Yes it is two months+ away, but our goal is to have that “in-person” Graduation for our leaders of our school. More details will come including a date for the Passing of the Light before the Graduation Date.
Great way to start our Week at STM. Home and School Organization placed these signs in Teachers yards over the weekend. We even had a couple at STM this morning. Today is the start of Staff and Teacher Appreciation Week- chose a way to Thank a Staff Member this week.
By now much of the STM Community knows that I told Father Justin last Monday that I will not be returning to STM next year. I had a great experience. I know God has new plan for me. We will see what that is. I will enjoy the next two months at STM. But I miss those STM kids!
I got my Sports Gear ready for our Virtual Sports Day and some distance learning. I even found my Father Justin Baseball Card. Plus my autographed @DarrenSproles football to his favorite 1st Grade Teacher.
ZOOMING in with the Parents from the STM Home and School Organization tonight. These Ladies are still doing great things for our school- even from their house. Thank-you for your support!
