At this point our generation has seen:
• pandemic
• global lockdown
• supply chain collapse
• plane crash
• inflation spike
• wars in multiple regions
• AI replacing jobs
And now airspace closures in the richest cities.
No wonder we don’t trust permanence.
Tujuan berkahwin sebab ia sunnah dan ibadah. Nak faham perkahwinan = ibadah, kena faham tauhid.
Suami/isteri curang bukan kerana pasangan tak handsome/cantik, tapi kerana tiada taqwa.
Namun, nak kahwin atas tujuan apa pun ikutlah masing-masing.
Please don't expect too much, orang bisa berubah kapan saja. Hari ini suka, besok bisa tidak. Semua bisa hilang, semua bisa pergi kapan saja.
Pagi tadi budak Grab ni tunggu order. Aku tgh minum.
Dia baru berhenti keje. Muda lagi. Keje technician kilang electronic. Dia ckp keje pressure. Toxic. Umur 24. Aku pesan dgn dia cari keje. Dunia kerja mmg mcm tu. Babi ada, kera ada, pengkhianat ada, tikam belakang ada..🤣
Sometimes I look at my payslip and see that I'm making similar amount as my dad when I was in sekolah rendah but my dad was able to afford 2 cars, mortgage and took us on the occasional holidays meanwhile I'm here doing mental math when buying toothpaste and bread.
Lowest birth rate in the world, top ten highest suicide rate, worst elderly poverty, always top ten highest household debt in the world, worst gender pay gap not to mention always top tier for overwork culture...the list goes on.
You sell inferiority through pop culture this reliance on perfection that can only be attained through ridiculous beauty standards and unrealistic expectations and dystopian realisation through dramas and films.
Not to mention you sell bastardised American "culture" through appropriation of African American music and fashion.
And of course, most of y'all racist as fuck always talking down to South East Asians because you think we're inferior to you.
Questions?
I actually don’t want to climb any corporate ladders. I don’t care about job titles. I don’t need accolades.
I just want to have income to fund my lifestyle, not be depressed, help other people, and be around good humans. That’s it!
Introverts are highly intuitive, that's why you don't see them around a lot of people, only a few & they are either friends, family members, or a lover. We don't like the attention unless it's from certain people. We only hold deep & long conversations with certain people. We observe heavily. You have earned a big amount of my trust & very much special to me if I let you in my world, you can only exist there if I let you.
A Gen Z joined the team.
Week one.
During onboarding, the manager said,
“We sometimes stay late during peak periods.”
Gen Z nodded.
Then asked,
“Is that paid… or just expected?”
The room went quiet.
- No attitude.
- No rebellion.
- Just a question.
Later that day, HR mentioned “growth opportunities.”
Gen Z replied,
“Does growth include raises, or just more responsibility?”
Again, silence.
- No laziness.
- No entitlement.
- Just clarity.
That’s when the team realized something.
When people say
“Gen Z is lazy,”
what they really mean is:
Gen Z watched old generation
- skip meals,
- miss birthdays,
- work weekends,
- and burn out
only to be told
“budgets are tight”
and “be grateful you have a job.”
So Gen Z chose differently.
- They don’t romanticize overwork.
- They don’t confuse suffering with ambition.
- They don’t trade health for praise.
They still work hard.
They just refuse to work for nothing.
It’s not laziness.
It’s pattern recognition.
And honestly,
after everything old generation went through…
Can you really blame them?
