@BaseballJeff1 I can’t help but think he got called up to make a point about how you don’t call up the meteoric risers this fast. Like someone was pushing for him too hard and Zaidi was like “ok, watch what happens when you get to this level and you aren’t ready.”
@dick_nixon I'm not convinced either, but Scherzer brings a fair bit of mettle himself. I'm not sure if that's enough, but it'll be a good clubhouse add on top of whatever he brings as a pitcher.
@sfgiantskate Sox fans are the best. Not as fans, but as entertainment in the stands. I was at the A's-Sox game and the Sox fan right behind the A's dugout managed to get tossed halfway through the first. Just unabashed vitriol. His buddy got tossed in the ninth... for yelling AT the Sox!
@heymrsbond I have a North Face backpack that I got at Costco. It’s just plain black, but I have some do dads that my kids made me for each of the zippers so it’s easier to tell them apart. I also have some buttons from my robotics team on it.
@MenInBlazers Great match and great battle with those two. Also, can we all agree that van de Donk is a great name for a soccer player? Maybe the best?
@NatBanting It has been my experience that when I hear that, what the adult saying really means is “Why can’t you just teach them what I know?” so the idea of “real world” math is super domain specific. My guess is grade 8 hits the mark, but is going to be highly variable to the situation.
@padresj I feel like they need another rice pot or two though because that crack is letting out some of the compressive wave that would otherwise be helping the pot launch even higher.
