Governor Newsom just signed SB 73, which bars election observers from challenging mail-in ballot signatures that don't match voter records. While officials still perform verification, this shields the process from public accountability at a time when doubts about fraud are rising.

Ah yes, the classic: "Every other state and country is doing it wrong, but California has cracked the code."

Allowing ballots to arrive up to a week after Election Day is so laughably absurd I don't even know where to begin with the multitude of ways that compromises the entire process.

And spare me the size/population excuse. Florida and Texas process millions upon millions of votes and have results on election night. Third-world countries have results on election night. California will process roughly 10 million votes and somehow expect people to accept a 37-day counting window? At some point, "it's a big state" stops being an explanation and starts becoming an indictment.

At best, it's staggering incompetence. At worst, it's corruption.
