🏴 A 13-year-old orphaned girl told staff she felt unsafe, but her request to move was DENIED.
JK Rowling just offered to pay for her day in court.
The girl, the only female in the unit, was placed at St Mary's Kenmure in Glasgow alongside 11 boys aged 15-17, all older teenage offenders. She had committed no crime.
When she asked to move to an empty houseblock, the answer was "no."
The case was documented by the Council of Europe's committee for the prevention of torture after an inspection last year.
Rowling took to X: "Who does it hurt if we make every space mixed-sex? This is who it hurts: the most vulnerable, those without power and influence, the invisible people politicians don't bother to consider when chasing likes and photo ops."
She then posted a link to her women's fund and offered to cover legal costs for the girl or anyone acting on her behalf.
The world's most successful children’s author is helping kids with more than just great reading material.

It isn't just Conservatives. No one likes you. People from all over the world are posting videos about what Canadians are really like....hateful, vicious, petty.
I would hope to have the courage to press blue but I it almost certainly be a massive risk.
Studies apparently shown that even under low stakes circumstances the distribution is slightly skewed toward self interest and that it generally increases as the stakes increases. But self-interest can include family and friend group, so knowing the people in the group would help mitigate risk.
But in the absence of familiarity, assuming more than 50% of strangers will tend altruistic, irrespective of their rationality, seems more like a moral, mensch choice, but not necessarily a rational one.
Bombshell vax vs. unvax study finally sees the light of day and the results are staggering.
Dr. Marcus Zervos led the study, but he decided not to publish it because “publishing something like that, I might as well retire. I’d be finished.”
Today marks the end of the survivor participation for our rape gang inquiry hearings. I simply have no words that describe the bravery and courage of these women who have come forward.
No words.
What they have been through is indescribable.
It has been a life-changing experience for me. I never thought such evil was possible. Never. Not here, in Britain. In our towns, in our communities. It is pure evil. These men are so utterly depraved.
If it were up to me, thousands of them would receive the death penalty.
To do what they did, on such an industrial scale, to innocent young girls - many of whom were already in such an incredibly vulnerable place? There is no redemption possible. The world is a better place without them in it.
I started this inquiry because so many others failed.
Speaking honestly, I did not understand how deep this evil is rooted in our society.
Police, politicians, council officials, the NHS, social workers, children’s homes - it is everywhere.
IS everywhere. Not was. IS.
Meeting these women, and men, listening to how severely they were failed by those tasked to protect them? My views have changed forever. I knew it was bad. I never knew how bad it was.
Every single one who has come forward is a hero in my view.
The courage and grace in how they have conducted themselves is unlike anything I have seen in my life. All because they don’t want others to suffer the same fate. That is an extraordinary sacrifice. They could have just moved on with their lives. Tried to forget. But no, they chose to do this. I am in awe of all of them.
Our hearings will finish tomorrow, following the contribution of three more expert witnesses.
Then the next stage begins. We will produce a report, and then we will seek to put people in prison. There are FAR more testimonies and evidence to release - this will keep coming and coming and coming.
Even with a media blackout, we have reached tens of millions. We have made real progress.
And following such immense demand, we will reopen the portal so that more women can tell their stories.
This is just the beginning.
Politicians from all parties have failed these girls, again and again and again.
I do not intend to join that list.
To everyone who donated, thank you. To our team, thank you. And especially to the survivors, thank you.
I believe that together we can start to make Britain understand what is happening, and then finally do something about it.
A great response to the sense of unease that AI elicits, but there are two aspects that still give me pause.
Firstly, the intersection of AI and robotics i.e. the rise of the physically capable, thinking machine. I think its fair to assume that in the not too distant future, new ai native machines will be born from an iterative, AI led and executed design and build process. They will be more robust and importantly, more generally, as opposed to specifically, capable.
Secondly, while I accept there will be ‘unseen’ opportunities, there is a fundamental difference between a single purpose machine like a loom or even a whole textile production line , and a world in which almost every physical and digital process now done by humans, including the currently unseen ones, cant be done better by AI or an AI native machine.
In this world, AI will be able to develop or build the capacity necessary to execute on our new opportunities faster than we can think of them.
I don’t see it as a binary outcome at all, but the scale of the disruption could be staggering.
Nobody has fought harder for full release of the Epstein files and prosecutions of those who abused children more than I did, knowing full well that the legacy media, far-left propagandists and those who are actually guilty would:
1. Admit nothing
2. Deny everything
3. Make counter-accusations against me
I knew that I would be smeared relentlessly, despite never having attended his parties or been on his “Lolita Express” plane or set foot on his creepy island or done anything wrong at all.
Nonetheless, the extreme pain of being accused of being the opposite of who I am was worth it.
The strong must protect those cannot protect themselves, especially vulnerable children. I will gladly accept any amount of future pain to do more to protect kids and give them a chance to grow up and have happy lives.
🚨💥 RFK Jr. just TORCHED the World Economic Forum 💥
Glenn Beck asked RFK where he stands on the WEF… and RFK went straight for the jugular:
“It’s a billionaire club that funnels wealth upward and pushes totalitarian control.”
“They jet into Davos, then lecture world leaders on how to run the rest of us.”
“And during COVID? $4 TRILLION was transferred upward while they destroyed small businesses.”
Here’s what the media will NEVER highlight:
🗣️ RFK Jr. is flat-out saying Big Tech + Big Government + the WEF worked together — to censor dissent, crush small businesses, and strip away constitutional rights… all while the global elite got richer.
The WEF isn’t “leadership.”
It’s an unelected cartel trying to run the world.
And people are finally WAKING UP. 🔥
The rewriting of history begins.
Opponents of gender ideology haven't merely 'endured unsparing criticism'. I haven't simply been told I 'betrayed real feminism' or received a few book-burning videos.
I've been sent thousands of threats of murder, rape and violence. A trans woman posted my family's home address with a bomb-making guide. My eldest child was targeted by a prominent trans activist who attempted to doxx her and ended up doxxing the wrong young woman. I could write a twenty thousand word essay on what the consequences have been to me and my family, and what we've endured is NOTHING compared to the harm done to others.
By standing up to a movement that relies on threats of violence, ostracisation and guilt-by-association, all of us have been smeared and defamed, but many have lost their livelihoods. Some have been physically assaulted by trans activists. Female politicians have been forced to hire personal security on the advice of police. The news that one of the UK's leading endocrinologists, Dr Hillary Cass, was advised not to travel by public transport for her own safety should shame everyone who let this insanity run amok.
Lest we forget, gender apostates have been targeted for crimes such as doubting the evidential basis for transitioning children, for arguing for fair sport for women and girls, for wanting to retain single sex spaces and services, especially for the most vulnerable, and for thinking it barbaric to lock in female prisoners with convicted male sex offenders.
Now the political landscape has shifted, and some who've been riding high on their own supply are waking up with a hell of a hangover. They've started wondering whether calling left-wing feminists who wanted all-female rape centres 'Nazis' was such a smart strategy. Maybe parents arguing that boys ought not to be robbing their daughters of sporting opportunities might, sort of, have a point? Possibly letting any man who says 'I'm a woman' into the locker room with twelve-year-old girls could have a downside, after all?
Mealy-mouthed retconning of what has actually happened over the past ten years is predictable but will not stand. I don't doubt those who've turned a blind eye to the purges of non-believers, or even applauded and encouraged them, would rather minimise what the true cost of speaking out was, but 'yes, maybe trans activists went a little over the top at times' takes are frankly insulting. A full reckoning on the effects of gender ideology on individuals, society and politics is still a long way off, but I know this: the receipts will make very ugly reading when that time comes, and there are far too many of them to sweep politely under the carpet.
But they’re not formal fallacies right? Arguments of a particular type sure, self serving probably, individually unconvincing apparently, but not necessarily untrue.
I worry that videos like this do more to close minds to new ideas than to open them, breeding a generation of dismissive fallacy spotters, armed with labels that allow them to avoid engaging with uncomfortable possibilities.
🚨#BREAKING: The man stabbed in the chest by an illegal alien on the train in Charlotte NC, Kenyon Dobie, is in critical condition with a tube in his chest, pumping blood out of his lungs.
According to authorities, Dobie was the only person who stood up and told the drunk illegal to stop screaming at riders, including an elderly woman on the train.
For his efforts, he was knifed in the chest.
"I guess it’s better off that it happened to me and not an older person. I wasn’t trying to be a macho man, but what I won’t allow is you to attack random people for no reason, especially the elderly..."
If you believe free speech is for you but not your political opponents, you're illiberal.
If no contrary evidence could change your beliefs, you're a fundamentalist.
If you believe the state should punish those with contrary views, you're a totalitarian.
If you believe political opponents should be punished with violence or death, you're a terrorist.
