A global race is becoming truer. Your individual identity, your culture, your nation will all shape your added value to the overall system. Pride in your identity is valid, but it is not a zero sum game.

Nationalism stems from validly recognizing the individual. Your individuality is shaped by your surroundings.

Each layer around you: individual —> kin —> community and so on to include all forces of the universe have a (mostly) receding impact on the individual. But technology is shrinking our world.

“How can we help everyone gain access to the resources, preparation, and guidance that they need to meet the standard?” is a valid question. “How can we destroy a standard based in ideals that we all share?” seems to be a misguided question.

Calling for the termination of objective, standardized testing may not be rooted in malice, but poor judgement more likely.

The idea that we should terminate standardized testing says that “minorities can not meet the standard so it must be lowered or destroyed in all.” The standard may favor different classes and ethnic groups in this moment, but the standard in itself is not bad.
