Decide a two page template, copy your PowerPoint text and graphic over. Do each lesson as it comes up. At the end of the year put them all together in one booklet and slap a cover on it. Done.

I have seen them used well. But that requires a particular set of skills from the teacher to make it work.

We need to teach huge amounts of knowledge. Really. That is the thing that teachers should be doing. Worked examples of how to solve common problems, examples of good work. And then some more knowledge.

You cannot think without huge stores of knowledge.

@warwickmansell Nah, it sounds great. Teaching is a job. It shouldn't be a requirement to make up all your own resources and decide the sequencing of it. That's like asking factory workers to build the factory and then decide what it should make.

@RogersHistory For me, creating a booklet was a useful exercise because I got to sequence the content. And, more importantly, I had to know what I wanted the kids to know.

But textbooks are awesome too.

@euthyphro @itaisher The problem is not the campaign, rather the rabid dog anti-trump voters. It's impossible to disagree with a left wing person without being called a racist fascist sexist. It's the condescending contempt from every left wing journalist and tiktoker. That's the problem.
