Stomas are not anything to be ashamed of!
My heart broke hearing the news of patient #msp and it just shows we haven't shouted loud enough about the positive side of having a stoma, we haven't reached out enough to help those struggling and we need to work harder
In memory of patient #msp Share your positive message of life with a #stoma and tag me in it. Together we can spread the message that #stomassavelives and there's no shame in having a stoma.
My heart breaks for him and his family. Truly awful I just wish we could spread our message further so that it's widely accepted so we don't have to feel ashamed of having a #stoma it SAVES LIVES! Thinking of his family @piersmorgan@GMB@thismorning@DailyMailUK
#WorldIBDDay speak up, never be afraid to see a Dr and NEVER be ashamed, I was so embarrassed to speak to my GP and get checked out! I wish I knew what I knew now and got checked out sooner! #ibd#invisibleillness@CrohnsColitisUK
My bowel surgeon is pretty awesome, he takes a week out of his crazy diary to teach in Gaza! Very lucky to have such an amazing bowel and brain team at the JR. #stomasquad#ibdawareness#ostomy
#worldostomyday I'm proud to show my #ostomy as it saved my life in more ways than one, are they easy to live with? Not always! Do I suffer with body confidence sometimes absolutely, but my ostomy gave me my life back and for that il always be grateful #ibdawareness
