For 10 years since starting my Blind Gamer series on YouTube, I've received comments similar to "you're not blind." and that I'm deceiving developers on what blind and disabled players need to play games. I have ignored those comments for the most part. But after more of those comments on yesterday's Black Ops 6 video I saw an opportunity to educate what I do and how I consult, so here's a video explaining it.
Please forgive me for the long video (and the missing captions. I'm in a hotel room and wifi and resources are limited).
Everything is underfunded, collapsing and doesn't function in the UK for one simple reason.
Privatisation and the prioritising of ever increasing profits for already ridiculously wealthy billionaires.
There is loads of money, it is just being stolen.
For one year, low-income families in Austin, Texas, received $1,000 a month to do whatever they wanted; they spent it on rent and “substantially" improved their situations. https://t.co/TYZu31BMeQ
You can tell if a doctor knows their stuff based on the labs they order.
This is a rare example of a doctor who understands post-viral syndromes and chronic illness.
Impressed.
"The Experiment We All Wish We Had Been Able To Do"
Maybe someone did it - recognized in the first weeks or months that they were on the cusp of a new sickness reality and they STOPPED PUSHING.
*They immediately started basic treatment for MCAS and POTS.
*They optimized their nutrition.
*They stopped drinking alcohol.
*They stopped working out.
*They got a HR monitor and were crazy strict about not going outside their energy envelope.
Maybe someone did it.
I know I didnt. The long slow slide into severe #MECFS took years. Years of pushing and working HARD, at the height of an academic career, years of renovating a house (mostly actually me), years of travel, and wine in the evenings.
I knew my body had stopped functioning the way it USED TOO. I kept going. I kept going and kept working even when I knew I was sick and yes, I know, we have too. It's not like we have a choice. I didn't.
But I still wonder. I wonder what would happen if I had immediately gone on bed rest and was believed (and my condition not psychologized). Would I have declined to severe? Or could I have stopped the decline at Mild - and still had a somewhat normal life.
It is one of the hardest parts of the #LongCovid pandemic for me - seeing millions of people who don't know that they are on the road to severe post-viral syndromes. They think they are just having trouble getting over a flu. They keep on pushing.
What would happen if somehow the medical community and governments could convince them to just STOP. UBI? Real medical care?
What would happen if the message was HEAL NOW and then get back to life later.
I don't know if it would work. None of us do. But I do know that many of us ponder this.
If we had just stopped pushing sooner - could we have stopped the decline.
Treat leaky gut and gut inflammation. Please.
My dad (in his 80s) had started shuffling around (instead of walking, which was awful to watch) - I put him on BPC-157 and in a few months his mobility was back, he was doing proper walks again (and walking on a treadmill) and he also dropped 30 pounds.
BPC-157 also great for gut inflammation, normalizing disturbances in the gut-brain axis, and tissue healing.

I don't care if someone is a drug addict.
I don't care if someone is an alcoholic.
I don't care if someone has a disability or a mental illness.
I don't care if someone just refuses to work.
Nobody should be homeless!
Part two. I asked autistic and ADHD people about the challenges they face at work and what helps or would help them. Out of approx 1500 replies, these were the most common responses about what helps, in order.👇🏻
You’re not lazy. You’re exhausted AF from the trauma and grief you’ve endured and the constant hustle culture that romanticizes burning the candle at both ends without breaks and without proper rest. You’re not lazy. You’re exhausted from faking well and pretending you’re fine, when really, you’re a shell of yourself and your light has been dimmed by the rat race of society and wanting to be “on time” to all the made up milestones. You’re not lazy. You need to rebalance your nervous system and truly rest mind body brain and remind yourself you’re right on YOUR time. XO, Dr. Jen
This story is one you have to read. Some 25,000 people are missing in Nigeria — more than anywhere else in Africa — including more than 10k who were disappeared during the Boko Haram crisis...at the hands of the Nigerian government. 1/ https://t.co/aIbVTnhBxV
In the run up to the 2024 election, migration to the southern border is the hottest of issues. In this new @newlinesmag and @noorimages film, we get an intimate portrait of one migrant's decision to leave Guatemala, and the sacrifices it takes to make the long journey north.
