Tomorrow is Monday. By God’s grace, this week will be filled with GOOD NEWS, divine favor, financial blessings, open doors, and reasons to smile every day.
Marlon Wayans says he had $700 in the bank and $900 rent before creating The Wayans Bros
“When we left In Living Color, I had $700 in the bank and $900 rent. I was broke and my brother Shawn was looking at me like, ‘What are we going to do now?’”
“Shawn was depressed. He'd sit in a dark room and play Christmas music because Christmas was a happy time for him”
“We always had a bottle of Diet Pepsi and I would sit there like we did on In Living Color”
“One day he came out of the room and said, ‘What are you doing, stupid?’”
“I said, ‘I'm working on our TV show’”
“The first thing he read was, ‘Interior. Outside’”
“He said, ‘Stupid, how do you have interior outside?’”
“And we sat down and created The Wayans Bros”
Endonezya’da gittikleri restoranda terleyen müşteriler, hissettikleri hafif bir esinti sonrası televizyona baktıklarında gözlerine inanamadı.
Hiç bir serinletici cihaz olmayan işletme sahibi, televizyonda vantilatör videosu açmıştı.
Nehemiah prayed a powerful prayer: “Lord, give me favor as I go before the king. Put it in his heart to help me.” Think about that. He wasn’t afraid to ask God for success, favor, or to move on someone’s heart on his behalf. Sometimes we think such prayers sound selfish, but they’re not. If you’re going to walk into everything God has for you, you must pray boldly for opportunities, open doors, divine connections, and favor where it’s needed. You weren’t created to live intimidated by your dreams or shrink back from what God placed in your heart. Ask big. Believe big. Expect big.
The truth is, God will strategically place people in your path to help you reach where you’re called people with influence, resources, wisdom, and opportunities. So don’t be afraid to pray: “God, put me on the hearts of the right people. Cause me to stand out for the right reasons. Open doors no man can shut. And place favor on my life that only You can receive the glory for.” God knows how to position the right people in the right places at the right time.
Michelle and I loved reading to this bright group of kids today!
We hope this new Chicago Public Library branch at the Obama Presidential Center will be a place where folks come to read, check out books, and connect with one another for years to come.
Obama: To Michelle. She did me wrong. She wouldn't let me see her speech. She knew she was going to mess me up and she did it anyway. But she's always made me better. And I could not be more grateful.
