finally someone cracked my thinking behind randomness in @stonkrobbers
when you try to guess something and fail, you feel dumb and wanna try again
especially when it's progressive like wordle
it feels skill based
you wanna prove yourself
totally different from a slot machine/gacha where all you do is tap + spin
the latter gets boring after a few tries, even if the underlying odds are the same
if you're tired of useless ips + pfps that sidelined the entire nft category and wanna see a new era of nfts with real utility + fun mechanics powered by onchain primitives like v4, gacha and rwas
follow @stonkrobbers
some frns advised me to delay the launch because of market conditions
but imo anytime is a good time to launch a creative onchain app
- bull market: you can leverage the hype and initial speculation 100x
- bear market: you can attract loyal early users and calmly keep building
there's always an upside to launching
if your product is worth it
they'll eventually find you
so just launch and ship!
wl kills inclusivity
fcfs favors bots
auctions kill upside
imo the fairest/funnest way to distribute nfts is gamified luck + skill
in @stonkrobbers we take it further
by adding an economic loop that makes the game more rewarding for future players
if you fail, the next player could win more
being early means trying your luck first
being late means you might win bigger
