@LMPD In America, homicide and attempted murder are ok as long as you do it with a car and don't flee the scene. An hour after the incident and they're already absolving the driver.

@OlmstedParks502 There were work trucks near Bridge #2 this morning which I had assumed were there for the road bridge, but now I'm not so sure. Were they there for the pedestrian bridge, or has work finally commenced on the road bridge?
@kyhighwaysafety Kentucky needs to do more to give safe options to walk/bike, and do more to prioritize riding > driving, especially in its larger cities. We spend more on a single interstate junction than we do on sidewalks, bike lanes, and bus lanes combined.
@StrongTowns If you were building and marketing very standard/basic housing, are you incentivized to call it “basic housing” or market it as “luxury housing?” Unless you’re chasing %AMI funding or exemptions, you’re gonna call it luxury just to try and charge more.

@mjosefweber@hankgreen The problem is that humans are irrational beings. People will fight tooth and nail to dismantle any system that causes present pain, regardless of the immeasurable amount of future relief.
@oliviamevans_ The gas tax already falls woefully short of basic maintenance expenses. Rather than making it cheaper to destroy our communities and planet, we should use these funds to give people alternatives to needing to drive everywhere.
