Stand with us and together let’s stop our expansive, tranquil Wiltshire landscape from being turned into a semi-industrial, utility-grade power complex.

The Labour government’s Planning and Infrastructure Bill:
This includes compulsory purchase by public bodies & governments (local & national) to buy land (which includes the green belt, farmland or even allotments) at low agricultural value rather than full hope value. After purchase they can sell land to a housing developer or solar panel company at full development value. The Bill also gives compulsory purchase rights to acquire land for nature.
This is not a level playing field for farmers. They will be forced to sell at low value, but the purchaser (often a local council) will be able to sell at full value. This is fundamentally wrong on many levels. It’s countryside grabbing facilitated by government for corporate gain.
“The biggest threat to nature and food security, and to our rural communities, is not solar panels or onshore wind. It is the climate crisis...This government is not going to proceed on the basis of myth and false information...”
~ Ed Miliband indulging in serious gaslighting.

Just look at the glorious farm land beneath the banner - this is what #MadMiliband wants to cover with solar so #Maquarie can make Zillions & a handful of greedy local landlords will make Millions. Badenis Turnors Branstons Walker Richards Grafftey-Smith Butler - oh I nearly forgot, the Dook of Beaufort as well. #StopLimeDown @stop_lime_down
@MRPD1@emeraldthiele how is possible with their track record with Thames Water that they can now have such a stake in our renewables? Sheer madness and greed
@bphillipsonMP@Ed_Miliband@ParkwoodAcademy What about on car parks? Cinemas? All new build houses? Warehouses? I could go on.
Why do you have to trash Britain's rural landscape?
Or do you simply not give a toss about that?

Coming to Wiltshire soon…

The Labour government serves the donor class, big corporations, military industrial complex and the Davos clique while punishing farmers, small businesses, pensioners, carers, disabled and veterans. They are the diametric opposite of the old traditions of the Labour Party.
Energy Secretary, Ed Miliband has approved a number of mass-scale solar panels on UK prime farmland despite local community objections.
Solar panels shouldn’t be used on prime agricultural land. Instead, put them on brownfield land, car parks, roofs and roads.
Why are British supermarkets not covering their car parks and roof spaces in solar panels, as they do overseas, instead of desecrating the countryside? We should boycott them until they do. https://t.co/dpuNvtOrum
Great campaign by @Riverford who have teamed up farmers like @jimmysfarm to find out the truth behind unethical pricing and labelling tactics from major supermarkets.
Supermarkets should clearly label the origin & source of food products.
