I was at the Mater this morning when the Supreme Court ruled Adani has to pay 100% of its own costs and 60% of my costs for last year’s big #DadvsAdani ‘strike out’ application. ⁠This is great news but Adani has amended its claim twice this year, now 5 times in 5 years of brutal litigation. Bill Ryan survived the horrors of Kokoda, Mike Fitzsimons in Vietnam. They were heroes, dedicating their final years to protect us from climate breakdown. Adani picking them out now is just another twist and turn in this 5-year saga. Bill’s son told The Guardian:

"Dad had a tough life, served his country in war and tried to protect us all from climate criminals. He died a hero to thousands but now I have to tell the grandkids and great grandkids he's part of some Adani conspiracy theory in the Supreme Court. Why the hell can't Adani leave Dad to rest in peace rather than drag us through this bullshit?"
