I think it is unfair to pile on Secretary Mullin for what John Thune and his team did to Scott Presler.

Secretary Mullin likely didn't know Scott was not allowed in and Secretary Mullin going to an ICE facility with Senator Thune was an entirely different event with an entirely different goal, which is promoting immigration policy.

I don't think it's wise to take down a Trump Administration Secretary for something pretty much unrelated to him.

If there are other details or context that I am missing out to where people are piling on Secretary Mullin, I'd like to know the context or other details. Otherwise, it's unfair to Mullin. Focus on Thune and his team.

I guess John Thune's comms account is still unapologetic about the way @ScottPresler was treated and even denying the fact that he was asked not to attend by Thune even though it is recorded that the SDGOP Chairman said that.

So, presumably Thune knows about this, and yet no comment on it.

Yeah. John Thune has a lot to explain. So many people are going after Thune's team. Just look for yourself and see how much Republicans are pissed off. And for good reason.

Thune's team mistreated Scott Presler, that was the last straw for Republicans.

If you do a poll of Thune's approval rating among Republicans, it will show a lot.
