@frpaddybyrne Even as a child, I thought the words should be "through whom God's love permits me here". In the same way, I dislike the line in the hymn which says "..every tongue confess.." "Profess" would be better as "confess" has shades of the Inquisition about it.
@philipnolan1 ๐ My Grand Uncle is in Locre cemetery, it is on my list to visit and I hope to bring his medal with me. He was born in Cavan but enlisted from Scotland so not counted among the Irish who fought in the first world war. May they all rest in peace.
@MaiaDunphy@RTEOne The Women's mini Marathon winner, Ethiopian athleteย Chaltu Dida, wearing a Dundrum South Dublin vest, wasn't even mentioned on the RTE 9 O'Clock news. The 2 Irish women who came 2nd and 3rd were named and interviewed. ๐
@rtenews@philipnolan1
Dreadful of RTE news not to mention the winner of the Dublin Women's Mini marathon,
Ethiopian athleteย Chaltu Dida, with her time of 31 mins 39 seconds. Why?
The 2 women who came 2nd and 3rd were interviewed, they are Irish.
@ColomnQuigley@brianmlucey The good infrastructure is a product of Empire i.e. robbing other countries' wealth to enrich yourself and your own country.
@PatKennyNT Hi, I was listening back to today's Pat Kenny Show and the recording cut off after 1 Hr and 58 min anc so I missed the final few minutes. I wonder if you would add on a few minutes to maybe include the 12 noon news or at least the entire programme? Thanks.
@quisitydog@pipterino Yes, I am terrified of crossing a line. We never confided about personal issues so, in my 60s, I would find it very hard to change now. She gets on well with her own parents and has lots of friends including one going though IVF without a partner.
