Not only was the victim well restrained, he wasn’t reaching for the gun, he didn’t have it drawn and it was taken from his holster by the grey coat wearing agent in full view of the agent who fired the shots.

The weapon can be seen clearly being removed from his belt/holster at around 15 seconds.

Europe is 85-90% white, with no country below 80%. The US? 61%.

The migrant crisis was an event that lasted for two years in 2015-16, during the Syrian civil war, which resulted from US led destabilisation of the Middle East. There are issues around the aftermath of that but what you’re seeing peddled on Twitter is bullshit.

Migrationary pressures? While the US intercepts millions at its Southern border in most years, for Europe in recent years the equivalent has been low hundreds of thousands. 300k for a bad year. Last year was 178k.

The US is 1% muslim. Europe (EU) is 1.4%. Marginally higher if you include the UK with the bloc. There is no projection which shows Europe or any European country ever getting close to a muslim majority. Pew Research’s study of Islam (~2016 or 17) in Europe produced three different estimates, zero migration, medium migration and high migration, with medium being their actual forecast and high being a purely hypothetical scenario showing what would happen if the 2015-16 crisis levels continued - which is obviously not actually possible and didn’t persist. The high estimate was deliberately misused by the far-right and continues to be used to this day, but they still massage the data. For example, under those conditions Pew saw the muslim population rising to 14% by 2050 not 50%+ as the far-right like to claim.

Most of the muslim population in countries like France and the UK are not new arrivals, they’re the descendants of people who came legally from former colonies in the post war period. The same is true for Sikhs and Hindus in the UK.

Europe has plenty of problems - becoming an “islamic caliphate” isn’t one of them.

Those statistics are complete horseshit. None of those numbers come from any of the listed sources - or any sources at all. 🤣

Finland for example had 55 murders in 2023 with a population of 5.6 million. The murder rate for said year was roughly 0.98.

Austria for the same year? 0.88.

France: 1.34.

Canada: 1.98.

Czech Republic: 0.77.

US all races: 5.76.

US white not including hispanic: 3.2 - per the DoJ Bureau of Justice Statistics, CDC figures are marginally higher I believe.

If we take 3.2 as the set in stone number for “white” murder rate in the US, it would be:

3.27 times higher than Finland.

3.64 times higher than Austria.

2.39 times higher than France.

1.62 times higher than Canada.

4.16 times higher than Czechia.

If you’re gonna repost shit that gets spammed around the right-wing’s parallel reality, perhaps actually take five minutes to see if the numbers check out.

As for the racial element. Black and hispanic people are significantly more likely to live in economically deprived areas in the US.

I lived in Glasgow in Scotland when it was the most violent city in Europe. Scotland being very, very white, the people stabbing each other to death were almost exclusively white.

Violent crime has absolutely fuck all to do with skin pigmentation and everything to do with growing up in shitty neighbourhoods, surrounded by lawlessness, drug abuse and violence. You just happen to have ghettoised ethnic minorities.

This years crime stats are not yet compiled for somewhat obvious reasons and probably won’t be until well into to 2027. Even those from 2025 are still provisional.

The last available datasets for the “white murder rate” (specifically non-Hispanic white) puts the number at between 3.2 and 3.9 in 2024. Even if you used the lower end of that scale, white Americans would still be almost four times as likely as all British citizens and residents to be murdered. For reference, England & Wales 2025 0.86. Add in Scotland and it’s still roughly 0.86, albeit Scotland’s rate is marginally higher than E&W.

There is absolutely no chance that Trumps admin has lowered those numbers away from the historical norm by the sort of scale you’ve suggested and even if they had, the data for 2025 is not yet compiled. I dunno what it is you think would achieve that but back in reality, it would take any government in any country many, many years of actually having a plan and implementing it to achieve those sorts of results. That’s without considering the fact that half of America (the half to which Trump pretends to belong) have absolutely no desire to even approach the causes of the American violence epidemic. To clarify, any miraculously low numbers bounced around by right-wing influencers or Trump himself are precisely too good to be true.

As for splitting up the stats by race: I lived in Glasgow when it was the most* violent city in Europe. Scotland being very, very white, the folk stabbing and taking machetes to one another were all white.
