@zoelouisesmithx@LydiaHislop It was a superb interview, even by @LydiaHislop 's peerless standards. AOB is a captivating and charming interviewee but it's
hard work to get beyond the "rolling credits" list of names and deference to "The lads". Then there was an equally good interview with Ryan Moore.
@goracinggreen That's a full set of championship races at the festival for Rachael: Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase, Gold Cup, and Stayers Hurdle (and Ryanair Chase)
@goracinggreen Brutal, but Constitution Hill has always threatened to do that at some point.
Not forgetting poor State Man who was running the best race of his very distinguished career.
@goracinggreen@NdeBoinville That is one of the most remarkable Cheltenham Festival finishes I have ever seen.
Majborough may well have pulled some muscles in his back with that second-last fence blunder.
@jane_rainey @TwitterSupport @betsyspangles The lovely Betsy is my favourite person on Twitter. There must have been a misunderstanding for her account to have been suspended. I am adding my character reference for her! #BringBackBetsy
@betsyspangles I was thinking exactly the same at the same time. I really like her depth of knowledge and her ability to convey it. She is a top class paddock expert and horse expert in general - ITV’s MVP in this year’s Royal Ascot coverage.
"The Grand National is the front line of a much bigger battle for the future of horse racing."
@kevinblake2011 urges racing fans to stand up for their sport in his latest blog...
@novicefilly Very best wishes to your sister. Asthma is a frightening condition to live with - it can strike very suddenly and lethally and I live in fear of it, unable to be away from “grabbing distance” of an inhaler. Wishing Amanda a rapid and complete recovery.
@novicefilly The trademark dramatic acceleration was missing today: early on in the (short) home straight it was obvious that the magic wasn’t there. Maybe the sticky ground or the huge performance at York - or a combination of both - did for him.
@johnsonhoughton@NewburyRacing Congratulations! And I always enjoy your TV interviews. The ITV one after the Hungerford was lovely: Never Mind The B******s! ☺️
@ShoppeKeeperCat @novicefilly The old parade and pre-parade rings were beautiful. Ascot’s course layout is not conducive to good race viewing. And now the entrances to the steps are lined with bars. As the day progresses the alcohol casualties mount up. Royal Ascot, in particular, is a Bachannal.
@novicefilly @NewburyRacing That would indeed be very sad. It is a lovely space and one of Newbury’s best assets is its spaciousness. For that reason alone it is a very good course to come to for people with various mental health issues.
@novicefilly @ChelmsfordCRC@GiffordNick Mental Health Awareness Week is getting plenty of mentions and space. It would have benefited greatly from you being here after all your hard work and dedication.
