Donald Jezebel Trump was arrested and arraigned, for the third time, at a federal courthouse in DC this afternoon.

The courtroom was packed. The atmosphere described as tense.

He pled not guilty to four felony charges, including conspiracy to defraud the United States.

The trial date will be determined by the presiding judge on August 28th.

The prosecution has 7 days to submit their proposed trial calendar. The defense has 5 days to respond.

Discovery materials, extent and scope, will be made available to the defense in the coming days.

Defense has already waived their right to a speedy trial, arguing it will take much longer to process the allegations and evidence against their client than the 70 day window. (expected)

Trump was granted conditional release on an assurance bond. He was warned it would be revoked should he:

- commit any more crimes while awaiting trial (good luck with that)

- attempt to influence or intimidate witnesses or the jury pool (very unusual for any defendant to be issued such a warning but, given his history, it was warranted)
