Noticer News speaks out for the first time since its ban.

In an article published on the Noticer News website, the editor said X claimed the account had been "reported and has been locked for violating the X Rules" due to both its profile name and profile header, which repeated the name of the site, "Noticer News". According to the notice, X determined these violated its rules against "hateful conduct".

They said "we have been given no other information, but X has not flagged any issues with our actual content, and in two and a half years we have only ever had one post removed for a rule violation, a video which was then restored on appeal".

Users in Australia cannot see any of the Noticer News's profile, but some users in some countries, such as Ireland, still have the option to follow. In Australia, the profile says it has been taken down due to a "legal request", and for others internationally it says it was taken down due to "hateful conduct".

The editor said the ban came after the Executive Council of Australian Jewry made a submission to a parliamentary inquiry alleging that one of Noticer News' posts on X, concerning recent government funding to the organisation, had caused "a significant spike in online threats of violence". The ECAJ is Australia's largest Jewish lobby and currently boycotts the country's most popular political party, One Nation, over claims it is racist. The ECAJ submission also cited the Anti-Defamation League's claim that the term "noticer" is used by anti-Semites to refer to themselves. The ADL's hate symbols database also lists the Celtic cross and the phrase "It's okay to be White."

The Noticer News editor went on to rebuke the ECAJ's allegations, and noted that ECAJ had met with the ADL in Australia on the morning of the X account ban.

Noticer News is easily one of Australia's most popular news sites, rising to prominence in just a couple of years after it began filling a gap in the conservative news space by reporting stories often overlooked by the mainstream media. The outlet has been widely shared by politicians, domestic and international influencers, and millions of Australians.

They are awaiting the outcome of their appeal to X. Noticer News also remains available through its website and continues to maintain accounts on Meta and TikTok.
